0 features would be incredibly boring (iOS 9 was boring and dull as is, don't make the current iOS any more stale that it already is) when there's so much of the UI that still needs to be fixed and speaking of features, Apple should bring back features that they've removed since iOS 7 such as: rejecting calls from the lock screen, detail weather widget and social media widget in the notification center and oh yeah FIX THE FREAKING MUSIC APP!!!!

I'd rather have a boring working OS than an exciting and broken one.

You can reject calls by double-tapping the lock button. (one tap will silence the call)

When and how was rejecting a call available on the lock screen?

As for widgets, plenty of third party ones that provide those features and work fairly well.

In iOS 6 during an incoming call in the lock screen, you could do the usual 'slide to answer' but to the side, you could swipe up for more options which included rejecting the call (as if the phone was unlocked) or the Remind Me and Message options which we still have.

That was a great feature and it baffles me why they'd remove such a useful feature but then again Apple kinda sucks at UI design now...

Ah, yes, there was that I think for just one version of iOS 6 (6.1 I think, although perhaps all of iOS 6)--but not before or after. Likely removed to simply things for the vast majority of typical iOS users.

It was definitely for the entire run of iOS 6 and how did removing it simplify it? The least they could've done was get rid of Slide to Answer and just have the same incoming call options as you would if it were unlocked.

Simplify it as in making it less complicated for the masses. Lowest common dominator type of thing in play there basically.

3d-force-touch on an icon like twitter showing "new tweet", when selected or touched 'harder', will actually have an input field like the notifications .. and not load the app.

  • Fix keyboards....so annoying!!!
  • Allow me to delete photos in albums FROM the phone
  • Stop a phone call from taking over the phone until it goes to VM. If I want to ignore a call, but not send them to VM, I have to wait until it's done ringing to do other stuff on phone
  • Free app icon placement
  • App widgets
  • Change folder background colors.
Crazy thing about my list is, it's all possible via jailbreak, which means it's simple for Apple to implement.

Default for new features to OFF. Let me discover the new features and turn them on. Very annoying to find a new feature messing with my use of the IOS device.

As I said, the functionality itself is still there. Just double tap your power/lock button.

Most typical users wouldn't find those features and wouldn't get use out of them.
You have a valid point for casual users. My take, with the social media sites, forums, advertising, and Apple web site, one might think missing what is new begs the question where have they been?;)

Yeah and plus Forstall knew how to design UI unlike Jony Ive and his team.

Make group emailing one click! Click on a selected group and it populates all the addresses at once instead of clicking on each group member.

If I remember correctly the Camera icon on the lock screen became a Phone icon when there was an incoming call. This allowed you to slide up to see the options.
I agree it was a great feature but sadly not there anymore.

Think it was stock with iOS6.
In iOS 6 instead of sliding to answer you can slide up and this reveals new options, Reply with Message. Set a Reminder Location-based reminder etc...
iOS6PhoneAnswer.jpg

It was kind of cool.
One of the many things JI killed in his iOS7 redesign....
