Even with the profile still installed? If so, then I knew I was not crazy when I didn't have the profile for the last beta of iOS 10.1.
Yes. the feedback app was part of the build not the profile as some have mentioned. You may still be crazy but not for that reason :D. lol

Installed beta 6 and feedback app is still here...

EDIT: It's gone once I removed the beta profile. So there's that...it's probably the same with the other stock apps when you uninstall them.

Not here. I still have the profile installed but the feedback app is now gone. Also when I installed the profile, the feedback app didnt appear until I actually downloaded the beta. So not sure how yours would be different. Strange.

Yep, it's weird. Maybe was the reboot and not deleting the profile. I should have tested that but I don't think it matters too much. A lot of people are also saying that feedback app was gone from their install...

Which makes you think there won't be another 10.3.x beta. This could be the end of iOS 10.

Yes. I think that this is final. Sadly I can't install the beta profile for iOS 10 on my iPad. Just iOS 11 public betas and for what I have read the experience it's kind of disappointing...

Yeah.. Avoid at all costs. At least until DP3. My iPad is worthless on DP2. If I had a stronger internet connection on the road, I would downgrade to 10.3.3 and re-upgrade to 11B3 when it came out.

The temptation is there but I don't want to ruin a perfectly functional iPad...waiting a little longer. But having 10.3.3 would be nice, but hey, next week it should be out...haha

You can download the ipsw file and install that way instead of using the OTA profile. Since the beta OTA profile is now focused on iOS 11 unless you have an old copy of it. But yeah I suspect in a few days it should be released to gen population. (same build as beta 6) So not a huge deal to wait a few more days I guess.

To get back to the speculation nature of the thread I expect final on Monday and then iOS 11 B3 on Wednesday. So I'll wait and see. Also I don't have the same issues that I had in iOS 10.3.2 in my iPad...so there's no much reason to upgrade.

No way iOS 11 B3 comes out Wednesday, thats 3 weeks since beta 2. I predict iOS 11B3 on Monday, iOS 10.3.3 on Tuesday and iOS 11PB2 on Wednesday.

If you download beta 6 without a profile (I'm not sure how this works, that might be against apples wishes), when the final release comes out does it prompt you to download that or would it remain beta 6 on your device?

Probably beta 6 and final would be the same build, in that case you won't be asked to update. If the final version differs from beta 6 you will.

So when somebody is ready what's beta 6 like for battery and performance?

- Im expecting it to be pretty similar to 10.3.2, which I think is quite good anyway

i find it odd they released this as a beta when the build screams a final release version.

My guess is that although it's finished it's still in testing.. the test being a successful push to developers etc.

Hopefully it's not too much longer until the release

Apple is likely still working on bugs in macOS, but they won't release the iOS update early because they don't want to reveal security weaknesses in the Mac if they patch them in iOS.

They used to call these GM (golden master builds) which were effectively the final release pushed to devs prior to going out. Even called then GM at times. Odd this was called "beta6" this time as it seems to be a GM build. But not uncommon for them to do that.

Is this why people associate the release or non release with the software of other devices?

For example 'it won't be this week we got a macOS beta'?

I presume they're done be entirely seperate teams but this would be a viable connection

Yes, since the different platforms share the base of their operating systems, there are very often common security vulnerabilities between them.

So my estimate is release on monday 17th at 10AM, because macOS is still in work...
