Yes I know, but still. They had 6 days to sort out more issues.

Or they started working on those fixes in 10.2.2/10.3/11. Whatever comes next. Apple was aware of the Safari Keyboard bug from iOS 10.0B6, but it wasn't fixed until 10.2. Things take time.

I am more excited to get iOS 11. I am getting tired of iOS 10
I'm especially bored with the Messages.app. I still can't believe iMessages aren't cloud-based, like most other messaging platforms. I understand regular SMS/MMS texts might have other implications, but iMessages should be speedier like facebook messenger, whatsapp, etc. and it just looks so dated. It needs an overhaul.

What do you mean 'speedier'?

I think it should borrow some of the features of facebook messenger, like when you send a message on fb messenger it immediately "posts" to the screen and you get a visual indicator to represent Sent, Received, and Read and it feels very fast and lightweight (hard to explain). On iMessage, you send a message and then you see the blue progress bar go "whoooop" and it feels heavier and chunkier especially sending pictures. But the biggest culprit for me is that iMessage isn't cloud based.

Hmm interesting. I was gonna say, when I text my GF and she is sitting right next to me, she receives the message before the blue send bar even completes. I guess I just never noticed the difference. I use both all the time.

Gotcha, Snapchat is a good example of what I mean when I say speedy messaging. When you hit send on snapchat on a conversation, there's no perceptible "sending" process animation, it just posts on the screen. Sometimes, the message font is gray until it's sent, but it feels very lightweight and snappy. I think the issue I'm having with iMessage might be the animations for iMessage bubbles makes it all seem slower in comparison.

Yes. Just like iOS 7.
I am only especulating . But I think the iPhone 5s and other A7 devices will stop on iOS 12. Just like the iPhone 3GS stopped on iOS 6. It will be the same history repeating itself.
The iPhone 6 will be the new iPhone 4 with iOS 7

I actually made a jailbreak tweak (for myself) back when I was jailbroken on iOS7, 8, and 9. Pretty much removed the message throw animation. It was great, and I miss it (could literally spam non-stop, so I could see why Apple created a delay).

Interestingly, in Quick Reply, there is no message throw animation and it feels a little more "snappy"-- but still slower than what I had with my jailbreak tweak.
