Apple hold the update because of the hype .
[doublepost=1484849714][/doublepost]Well , it's not 1:00 PM yet ...

Very, very, very few updates have come out at 1PM PST. At most a half dozen in 9 years. Don't count on it.

Cross reference that with those on a Thursday release and it has probably never happened lol.
It literally happened last week

I think it's a safe bet 10.3B1 will not come out at 1PM today. We may get 10.2.1B5. Or a public release (unlikely) but not 10.3.

All joking aside, I think Apple is dealing with a possible big problem here with the 30% power off issue. It has now happened to 2 family members. I don't think this is limited to the 6s. If I had to wager, I'd say that they're not going to release 10.3b1 until they have that fixed. There are starting to be calls for recalls. Apple does not want to go there.

What devices?

I have three 7Pluses, two 7, one 6s and an Air 2 all on 10.2/10.2.1. Not one device has every shut down before reaching 0%.

Ones a 6s, the other a 6. And these are high school / college aged-kids. They're not following this stuff online. They just come to me when its not working right. My daughter (6s) has had it happen a half dozen times since Christmas.

My 6 shut down around 38% twice whilst using maps on a long walk. I'm lucky I had an external battery to kickstart.

Imagine if we're all waiting for ios 10.3 beta and then they release... iOS 10.2.2 beta 1! :p

I also think that this is quite possible. Especially if the rumor about new iPads is true, Apple may release the first beta of 10.3 in February or even later.

No new iPads in March, No beta or release today. Apple is doomed! :)

Also @Mlrollin91 it seems iP5, 5s and SE (any iOS 10 compatible device) can be added to to the 30% list as well (if I recall) according to other sites on the interwebz. So the good (maybe) news is its software related. I can see them re-calibrating the meter to where 30% is the new 0%. Problem solved :) JK of course.

Not how it works. 10am PST/1pm EST.
There's certainly that. Then there are some or a few releases that come out around 1 PM Pacific as well (like a beta last week, and another one not too long ago, if I recall correctly). And then there are rare releases that just come out whenever Apple decides to get them out, even later in the day, even on atypical day like Friday or even Saturday.

Yes an emergency 2 releases in 1 week fixing something came at 4pm EST. That is not a TYPICAL release scheduled time of recent.

lol yes we know that but you're moving the goalposts, that's not what we were talking about. we were talking about 1pm exactly in the context of it being rare but happening recently, so possible. sigh

the post you were initially replying to I said

"

which is true, as only one beta came out in the last week and it was 1pm PST :p
