It def does what it says & does it well. Although for some reason, I thought that it blocked YouTube ads as well
Where have you seen ads? I haven't seen any thus far. Post a link to one of the videos. Ah. I spotted one. It wouldn't start the video until the ad was done, even though the video screen was black.

Don't forget to make an in app website report of it in Crystal.

Being that it's enabled in Safari's Settings, now I'm thinking it's ONLY Safari based but I could be wrong.

i love how we can see lists's updates in Crystal. Feels like the app doesn't stop improving and i love this. I love an app that evolves and improves and the fact we can see that.

A counter with the number of ads blocked would be awesome too.

I don't need stats. I just need it to do its job and leave me alone. Crystal resides in my utility folder on the last page. That's how these apps should work.

Yes, that's correct. However, blockers will also work in apps that use the new Safari View Controller in iOS 9, which essentially allows developers to display a Safari mini-browser within their app (this is intended to replace the current Web View API for in-app browsers).

The app needs to support it, yes. Not sure whether Peace does it, I haven’t tried. My concern with Peace is that it’s made by a developer who has stakes in online publishing, so I’m not sure whether I would trust anyone like that.

He's been pretty open and honest about his policy, including why he's blocking ads for the ad network that run on his own site:

Theres a new app called AdMop which is free for the time being. Working well. Blocks the white spaces in MR while Crystal doesn't for some reason though people have told me it does.

Several people are using either Blockr or Peace etc. in conjunction with Crystal at the moment.

It really depends on which sites you traverse, and whether or not you like how Crystal is blocking ads and taking care of (when applicable) to the white space.
What's the benefit of having these combinations then? Just more blocking? Not sure what app wins out if they have different whitespace policies

Correct. A lot of people are looking for a combination that will better block and handle layout, at this point in time. Over the next month(s), that will probably change, as the content apps mature and the developers fine tune the engine under the hood.

Now he's being open and honest as to why he's removing it: http://www.marco.org/2015/09/18/just-doesnt-feel-good
... and making a bunch of money in the process.

I'm sure the tech press will spin this in a positive way because he's Marco, but no one should be able to get away with selling an app for less than 48 hours and then effectively killing it. The suggestion of requesting a refund isn't really valid either... there is no guarantee that Apple will actually comply with the request, and only a very small number of people will know that this is even an option.

Was about to buy Peace.. Happy I didn't pull the trigger.
But he is saying that you can get a refund. Edit: just the normal way of refunding from Apple.

Don't get me wrong... I respect his work. I enjoy using Overcast & Instapaper, but to put in all that work... and to be #1 in the AppStore.. I don't get it.

I bought the app immediately, he was currently working on being able to whitelist certain ads... I mean, I don't care at all about requesting for a refund. I paid for the product & its working as of now. I like the fact he added Ghostery as the database.

For him to be so strongly against adblocking... I don't understand, hard for me to wrap my head around on this one...
