I'm one of the developers of Silentium. We didn't receive your email :(

Great to see you here! I reported. Web page through the app.

Using Silentium exclusively at the moment. It's good!

I'm using Safari Blocker, just waiting for more feedback on Silentium before buying it... Happy to wait...

I'm using Silentium now and I very much like it.

Dev is very responsive. I've given them two reports and they already responded via email and Twitter. It has a Safari extension for whitelisting and reporting issues on sites. Ad blocking list, privacy protection tracking, social media function. It has a cookie law banner feature that's in experimental phase (you can choose the option or not). It also blocks sponsored ads and loads very quickly. This may be my favorite.

The developer of Silentium contacted me through the forum this morning. I replied back with my email. Hopefully, I can post a review of the app in the next day or so.

Edited to add: I am working on a review of Safari Blocker.

That'll be my most requested then, Silentium and Safari Blocker

Curious about Silentium. Hope the review goes up soon.

Also, anyone has any idea what the price will be after intro price is increased?

In a van down by the river
any disadvantages of having multiple ad blockers enabled?
Running two blockers should not lend to a system resources problem with your device. A lot of people use two blockers that they believe compliment one another. A lot of times, that scenario works well. On the other hand, one can run into webpage display problems, because there is too much of a page stripped away.

Ideally, it is best to use one blocker. Sometimes, that isn't possible given the vastness of the internet and one's usage and needs. It comes down to trial and error running two blockers.

I recommend Silentium and I have Purify. :)

Dev actualy replies to my emails and tweets.

Whoa, you'll get shot down for that!

Looking forward to the review of Silentium as it seems to tick all the boxes for me.... Want to get in before the price increase!

Bit the dust and bought Silentium. What can I say, I'm an impatient lad.

First, some background. The only paid content blocker I have is Crystal. The rest are all free or freemium. I can safely say Silentium has been outstanding in the short time I've had with it so far. Blocks all ads, even ads Crystal and other apps missed. It's also noticeably faster than the rest of the limited content blockers I've tried. Also includes a whitelist and a in-browser way to whitelist/report sites. Rather nifty. They have also thrown in a couple of experiment features such as cookie blocking and adult sites blocking.

I was checking out their twitter before purchasing and always nice to see active devs. Apparently, 1.0.1 will bring speed improvements and 1.1 will have a built in updater. Hoping it gets updated soon.

For my uses, it has been perfect so far. Clean UI and fast. Remember, YMMV though.

Nice review. I agree. UI looks great and the devs are active. Can only get better!

I sent them a feature request to add to the rule set updater a confirmation it's up to date with the latest rules.

i don't want a content blocker to make new friends and trade emails! lol

if you have that much emails to send to the dev, that app can't be that good... sry
