iOS 9.1, iPhone 6, UK, Crystal mostly works fine without restart. leaves the odd ad in. Had to turn it on in safari settings, content blockers

Just installed iOS9 and found Crystal in my Swedish store. Just enabled it in Settings and seems to work fine. Thumbs up!

Great developer, free app does what it should. The only thing I wish for is an ability to manually add links.

can someone compare crystal to purify?
crystal is free for a limited time, purify is 3.99 on the app store. What are the differences?

Crystal has no customisation, I think Purify does. Just download Crystal and see whether it is enough for you, it is free after all. $3.99 seems like a serious opportunistic cash-in, I would not feel comfortable paying that much for it.

Crystal is working remarkably well. The mostly German webpages I tested are (felt) 95% ad-free. Here and there an ad makes it through but that doesn't matter. But I expected the webpages to load faster - like on a Laptop. I notice no difference in loading/rendering speed.

Most of them are going to be the same. Some may have additional features like custom filters and things like that. Blocking mechanisms are going to be the same. $4 is a bit steep, Crystal is working fine, so no reason to spend money right now.

crystal doesn't work at all on my 6. iMore is loaded with ads still. Started and stopped it, rebooted, uninstalled, reinstalled - won't work.

Has it downloaded a blacklist? It has to download one first and compile it. What number does it give you at the bottom when you open Crystal?

I think this is just a taster. He probably didn't get it ready in time and will release the real app with more options later. Would be stupid not to charge for this.

Aha - maybe it hasn't? Still says Blocklist Version: 0...

Well, there you have it. :)
It is supposed to say 4. Just leave the app open and wait. Also make sure that the app has background app refresh enabled, then it will be updated in the background by push notification.
