Here are the directions for compiling and installing

So, you're actually blaming the app, and uninstalling it, just because one of our members happens to love that app. I feel it is better to place the shills on your ignore list rather than allowing them to control your actions.
Getting rid of an app because some people on a forum are a little zealous in their support, is rather illogical, in my opinion. That is not necessarily the kind of reasoning to brag about, because it is filled with logical fallacy. It is no different than a child being confronted by his parent, and the parent asks him why he did thus and thus, and the kid replies, 'Everyone else was jumping off the cliff.'
If the app doesn't work as you need it to, or you have some kind of business ethics issue with developer, then by all means put it aside for something that does work for you. That should be the proverbial bottom line, not using the 'other people were doing it to' defense.
My point was that he should have kept the app, if it was performing as needed, instead of allowing someone else to control which apps he removes. Never let someone who contributes so little to you control so much of you.I believe he IS blaming it on the business ethics of the developer. Hence him calling the person in the forum a shill rather than an over zealous supporter. Whether that person is a shill is unknown but d123 is taking action as if he is.
I've been quite happy with their web browser for quite some time, I'm going to give their ad blocker a try.Guys we have a serious contender here: Adblocker for Safari Browser. (By mobotap)
Fast as hell, free and blocks everything.
Really really good.
People using sh*t like crystal SHOULD switch to this.
Amazing
Glad you got it working. You are late to the party but, we still have plenty of ad-blocking refreshments. Thanks and already done. Much faster to do than I'd expected!
I agree. Wasn't attacking either but it's easy to appear as something other than cheerleading at a point which I pointed out.I think Hank is over zealous with his appreciation of Purify. As such, he tends to post before fully thinking about what he is saying. He wants Purify to do well because he paid for it. I think those of us who buy apps have a kindred desire in that respect.
Whatever he may say while cheerleading, should not take precedence, nor should his comments be used as the foundation for some kind of conspiracy, or as an excuse not to keep an open mind about the app.
Hm, I can't help wondering why they are releasing this for free. After all, this could lure some users away from their (excellent) Dolphin browser, which is touting adblocking as one of it's differentiating features ...I've been quite happy with their web browser for quite some time, I'm going to give their ad blocker a try.
Just tried Cnet and it is loading fine for me.Is there a way to let the dev know a site is broken? For instance, Purify destroys Cnet, and not in a good way.
At this time, the only way to reach the developer of Purify is via Twitter.Just tried Cnet and it is loading fine for me.
You sure? Up top can you select different articles by swiping left/right? It's currently on "Hot Button Issue" but with Purify you can't change the article. Also, the page ends on the article about Instagram when there should be other articles, the more you scroll down, the more articles you find.Just tried Cnet and it is loading fine for me.
Upon closer inspection, you are right, it doesn't work as it should. You sure? Up top can you select different articles by swiping left/right? I reviewed the app earlier today. I have been tinkering with it, trying to figure out how to block Yahoo sponsored ads.Currently trying out Safari Blocker which has a lot of features for a free blocker, including ad blocking, tracking blocking, custom rules, and whitelisting. There are also Popular Blockers list, which I think are custom user-submitted rules.

That's a very good point.Hm, I can't help wondering why they are releasing this for free. After all, this could lure some users away from their (excellent) Dolphin browser, which is touting adblocking as one of it's differentiating features ...
