Anyway, we released the beta testing for Silentium 1.1 and we think it's a great update.
You can enroll beta here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1EgLIiQuZz88ZcKbhRo0BpD_cW979aadDpnUhMFySAOE/viewform?c=0&w=1

In particular, in this release we have:
- Browsing is 30% faster than 1.0
- Rules update remotely, no need to update the app to block new ads
- Social media blocker is now integrated within the app (advanced section)
- Remove comments option for Facebook and Disqus
- General bug fixes

...and we are working on new features ;)

Awesome! I just sent my request. :)

I just tested AdBlocker (from MoboTap) and seems better than Crystal. Websites load faster and I notice my iPhone doesn't increase the temperature as when using Crystal.

I'm just wondering, does AdBlocker (from MoboTap) blocks tracking too? I don't see it in the description*.

I see no point in paying for an ad blocker with all those options coming out. We should continue testing to see which one is the best at blocking ads/tracking, being faster and use less cpu.

EDIT: In their FAQ there's a description saying they block tracking too.

I thought the tracking were coming soon...?

This is why I think it doesn't break as many sites to be honest

Ok guys... Just to say: every other app is better than Crystal. I'm not interested in selling my app: choose something else than Crystal and you will have a better app - there are a plenty of free choices that are way better than Crystal - I reverse engineered it: it seems an app written by a 5-yo child. o_O

But under 5 it says Do Not Track is coming in a couple of weeks...?

It's not very clear but I interpret as updates to ALL those services (rules, do no track, data saving, battery saving…) in the future.

They already say that you have all those features by blocking ads. In 5, they're saying they're going to improve the features. At least I hope is that.

Just hope they don't come up with some freemium crap. I'm starting to like the app and it's my favorite till now.

You might be right actually....

Strange. There was an update for Silentium in AppStore but it still showed as 1.0. But I had also signed up for the 1.1 beta about 30 mins before.

'Updated' and it was no different from the version I had.

I had that exact same issue too! Really weird!! I did notice the App Store update was 18th September, with the old one being 17th September... No idea what happened there?

Since I was able to get a copy of Silentium early, I will be posting a review later today.

According to the developer, the sale will probably end tomorrow.

I bought it for $1.99. Even at that price it's a great deal to support this developer. :)

Sorry guys, the same is happening with other apps. We think App Store is drunk at the moment ;)
1.1 will be released next week, we are only waiting for apple approval :apple:

I have a (possibly stupid) question, could be that someone has already covered it here but the thread is quite long and although I've read through at least most of it it might've slipped past me.

The question is as follows: I have AdBlocker (MoboTap) and a few other blockers installed (but obviously not running at the same time). Does it make sense to run AdBlocker (for ads), and then enable the Social Media -blocker of AdMop at the same time or is there overlap or possibility for incompatibilities in some other way? As far as trackers are concerned AdBlocker does the job on it's own?
