Not all sponsored ads like PurifySilentium does block sponsored ads.
It has been my experience, that Purify blocks sponsored ads on my iPhone 6, but doesn't block them on the iPad Air. Silentium is the same way. For some reason, people can have different results with iOS 9 on different devices. Not all sponsored ads like Purify
Well maybe results vary between different devices. It has been my experience, that Purify blocks sponsored ads on my iPhone 6, but doesn't block them on the iPad Air. Silentium is the same way. For some reason, people can have different results with iOS 9 on different devices.
I just checked my iPad again with Silentium, and don't see sponsored ads like I did earlier today. Odd.Well maybe results vary between different devices.

Weird. Just tried it with Purify on my brother's iPad Mini 3.Sponsored ads show on iPad Air.
PURIFY - the best
I don't read Russian. I tested just now with Purtify and didn't see any ads.
Did it ever occur to you, to report the website to the developers you listed, so that the site can be corrected, instead of tossing apps aside, just because they fail to load one site correctly? That kind of thinking doesn't make sense, in my opinion.
Didn't see any ads with Silentium
No ads with Silentium.
No ads at all using the free "Safari Blocker".
Can confirm the same.
No ads with Blockr ... but no ads when I reload without any blocker either. Possibly they don't serve ads to users outside Russia, so I wouldn't rely too much on other people's reports (including mine ).
Same here, Safari Blocker seems to block those ads.
Just saw the following on Twitter.
Purify App @purify_app 16m16 minutes ago
Purify is on-sale for a limited time — and one time only! Grab it now: https://appsto.re/us/R-Uz9.i
If that isn't just a marketing ploy, and he is seriously suggesting the price of Purify is going to increase, he should reconsider.
I decided to jump to Purify as it recommended at uBlock.org. uBlock is amaizing. Will test and reply.
At that price, people should buy, in my opinion. It's supposed to go down to $0.99, but the price in the store is not reflecting that yet
If some of you would like to post some websites I can include in future testing, (not already being used) please do so.
Amazing to me, how I get ignored on Twitter as he replies to other people.

Thanks for advice, will take a look.
Could you please include "www.timesofindia.com" and "www.indianexpress.com"?
Thanks for posting app reviews, it's quite helpful in narrowing down from many available content blockers.
1Blocker has been working great for me. It even has a feature to remove the empty blocks that are left behind where ads should go. Since I'm also web developer I came up with some CSS for a few sites to clean them up.
9toMac's ads and general site are annoying so I came up with the CSS class and ID list if you guys want to use it:
.news-feed-header,.trending-wrapper,.slick-slide,.jp-relatedposts,.sharedaddy
Make sure you apply it to domains only. Works for 9toMac.com, 9to5Toys.com, and 9to5Google.com. I'll probably make more for other sites later. I like the idea of customizing sites. Are there any blockers that let you inject custom CSS for certain URL's? I'd like to set fonts and sizes for my favorite sites, colors, etc.
As for me, none of blockers including Purify doesn't handle russian websites correctly for now

I installed an app that lets me view the source of a website on an iOS device using the share sheets. Although it may be easier on the desktop by using the web inspector. You find the class (.) or id (#) of the html elements you want to hide and put it into 1Blocker with commas between each item. Can you share some more info on how to use CSS and what are its benefits on top of just using content blocker?

As for the benefit, at least in the blockers I've tried they often leave "holes" in the page where ads should be after they are removed. Furthermore 9to5 has a lot of inline promo content from their sister sites that I don't care much to see. They also have a stock price bar and social sharing icons that I wanted to remove. So I grabbed all of the names of those html elements and put them on the block list. So ad containers collapse. I've been doing this for sites I frequent that I want to also block ads on. It makes for a cleaner browsing experience.
