Any more free ones that we need to download now ?

Well, Adamant was pretty nice and _was_ free until just a few minutes ago. It's removed the in-app purchase and just gone with a straight-up $1.99 purchase format. Going to give it a try for a bit until Purify is updated.

I will be posting a review of this app (suggested by scjr) tomorrow.

At this point, I think I have reviewed a lot of the free ones. There are still a few free ones I have yet to get to. If you are worried that some of the free ones might turn paid down the road, you can always download the free ones now and install later on, if need be.

If I wasn't reviewing apps, I wouldn't bother downloading so many.

It's worth the $1.99 to support the developer of AdMop. I have sent him over a dozen of reports to work on and he always replies, plus he corrects the issues.

This morning he told me the 2.0 beta will be out soon and he invited me to beta test it. He's going to definitely be implementing whitelisting.

I also gave him a recommendation to have just 1 toggle under Content Blockers and move the rest to the app. He seemed very receptive to that idea. This is real good developer. Friendly too!

Thanks for the good words. These two weeks have been a bit crazy for me. Though AdMop is not a very popular content blocker, it has gathered quite a lot of users, and I have been trying to give an answer and fix issues as soon as possible.

Fortunately the ad block rules are now quite good and I have time to focus on the next version.

For version 2.0, it will definitely have whitelisting and the ability to manage all your rules from within the app rather than having many Safari extensions, which can be pain to maintain too. I am thinking about a new feature as well which I think it will rock, but it is too early for me to talk about it. If you want to beta test it just drop me a mail through the app, or just by replying to this thread. I hope it is worth the wait.

an advice: improve the overall design of the app (icon too).

I haven't received push messages from AppShopper for more than a week, and now it has started sending dozens every few minutes.
Looks like all the missed notifications are finally being delivered.

If i just had to get one what would you recommend.....this thread has too much choice right now.

Silentium is one to consider. It's $1.99, but the UI is very slick and it has options, like customized whitelisting, cookie law banners, social media filtering. Developer is active.

If Purify is still .99 cents, that's a good one as well. Especially after he adds functions in the next update.

AdMop is another one that has great support and future updates will make it even better. Good luck in your search.

Well i have got one called safari blocker....by a luke li who is on this board....a bit embarrassed to say i was attracted initially by the free aspect of it.

How do guys who sell this kind of app for free make money?

Im gonna try this for a bit and see if the concept agrees with me,,.if it does i'll consider a paid app.

Some developers are in it more to help the community than for financial gain.

By all accounts, that's a nice ad blocker and like you said it's free. :)
