So another issue I'm wondering about is the fact that cases made for 7+ that will now fit 8+ aren't necessarily going to have colors that match the new phones. Neither the gold NOR rose gold are really gonna match the new gold. Do you think these companies will make cases to go with the new gold?

If you have the new gold, what color case are you using?

Has anyone tried the Spigen Neo Hybrid Herringbone or Spigen Tough Armor for the iPhone 8? I've always used the Speck Candy Shell but am looking at trying something new. I've previously heard good things about Spigen but the few comments I've seen lately have been mixed about this brand.

That case is currently one of my favorite for the device and I did a video review on the product which I plan to upload this evening. Solid case for sure and it’s my favorite case that Spigen makes for the 8+.

I had the tough armor on my 6 plus for the last three years. The only thing I didn't like about it was the hole for the Apple logo. Solid case. Kept my phone looking like new for 3 years

I’m usually an Apple Leather case person. Picked up an 8+ Silver, and I picked up the Silicon Blue Cobalt case. I’m in love with this combination!

None of these leather cases really caught my eye. Was on the fence with the Cosmos blue but it reminds me too much of my sea blue with patina or a midnight blue out the box.

I’m hoping the next season of Apple Leather cases have nicer (IMO) colors.

Companies may very well come out with the new color cases for new iPhone color, but they may not. Who knows. Get yourself a clear case and solve the problem. I have a clear case from Spigen.

Can anyone in here who has had both comment on the Apple silicone vs leather in terms of grip and wear over time?

Had the silicone before (what I have on my 8+ now) and it always seems grippy at first but then seems to wear off over time and look kind of crummy as it peels, also.
I have had both as well. The silicone gets slightly peely on the top coat over time (I don't baby my cases). Also, I'm a back pocket storer... and it pulled out all sorts of fun lint every time I pulled my phone out. I felt like I was wiping off my case more than anything.

The leather looks nice. Has that nice leather smell. Every color, except for black, darkens around the edges, the corners scuff slightly and you'll get those nicks and fine scratches. Personally, I think it adds character but to each their own.

What are some top thin case company names? Caudabe, Tozo, Totalee. Anymore names? Thanks
There's a really nice Pintaik case. It's made of carbon fiber but looks and feels like wood... if you're worried about gouging the wood case.

We are using a clear case from Otto Box; wife got the gold and wants the color to be visible but wants protection. We also installed Invisible Shield. Case prevents me from using my nightstand charger, but I can use the lightening cord.

kgenova, is the Mod less wider than the Crashguard? If so, a lot or just a little? Thanks a lot! (Please post some pictures or the review link for us)

Does the k11 interefere on the signal of the phone? Even in low signal areas? thanks a lot!

Hi! The CrashGuard and the Mod in bumper mode are extremely similar. I think the CrashGuard may be very slightly longer than the Mod, but they seem basically the same in width and length.

Here's my review:

Thanks!

Just got the Ultraviolet Apple Silicone Case for my gold 8. It’s an amazingly deep and striking color-highly recommended.
I have been impressed with the case itself. Seems more durable than I thought. I have the olive and black and my daughter has the white and cobalt blue

The olive is a great color too. Very subtle. The Apple cases are really nice quality-and they actually protect quite well.

I received my silver (frost) Peel case yesterday and honestly I'm not sure how I feel about it. Yes it feels flimsy and cheap off the phone, but on the phone it does fit well except for the camera cutout which is a little sloppy (but the lip is protected and the camera function is not affected.

I just feel like this thing wouldn't even protect the phone from even a tiny bump into something on the table, like if i had it sitting on the desk next to my computer and accidentally bumped it into my computer with my arm or something. It's also not really grippy at all, which I was sort of expecting for a frosted case. Also a bit concerned that given how scratch prone the back glass is, maybe any kind of hard/hardish plastic case is a no-go this time around.

Not sure yet.

So I got a 7+ Tech21 case for my 8+, and I feel like the fit just isn't quite right, especially near the bottom edge. I'm looking at the spec sheets on Apple's website and it states the 8+ is 0.2mm thicker, taller, and wider than the 7+ (seriously, 0.2mm on each dimension).

I'm wondering if I should hold off for cases specifically made for the 8+, especially since I want my cases to be fall-resistant and want the outer "edge" to be raised slightly over the screen in case it lands screen-down, if that makes sense.

Is it an Evo Check case? Check out this review starting at 2:10:

I gave up on Tech21, because the bottom of their cases are just too flimsy in my opinion.

I’m thinking of this one with all the good reviews. I too am concerned about breakage of a very expensive phone. Even though this one is made for the 6+/7+ it will work for the 8+

Yes! That's the issue I'm having with my case, pretty sure it's an Evo case too. That's a real shame, since I did want that 10ft. protection.

It almost looks like an issue with the plastic there, like it wasn’t molded properly.
