Quick Look at total number of reviews of the popular camera apps. I think Apple doesn’t have anything to worry about this latest Apple is doomed opinion.

If you want to take professional photos you could, I dunno, buy a camera?
Professional… sometimes people just want to override what the app thinks is „perfect“.
Too often does auto focus not work on recent LiDAR enabled iPhones. And Tap to Focus doesn’t help either.
I don’t want or need a professional camera, I just dont want blurry pictures.
See my post #123, the iPhones simply didn’t allow for the second picture to happen.

What will chnage is user-changeable battery by 2026/7 b/c EU has mandated it — unless Apple wants to exit the EU market.
Newsflash… the currrent setup is user changeable as deemed by the EU. It’s still a PITA, but Apple somehow appeased the EU with the electro-mechanical adhesive. If you’re looking for a easily removable back and battery, forget it.

Computational photography is a huge part of that story, but it's also the latest chapter in the long saga of artists working within the limitations of their tools.
Exactly. Vermeer seemed to handle light pretty well even with the limitations of the technology available to him.

as a photographer I'm not looking for any of this on my iPhone. If I want full control and RAW I use my Nikon Z8. The iPhone I want to be as automated as possible. the computational photography is what makes it what it is.
Exactly look in the photography forum here for examples.

iPHONE IS DEAD
Indeed.
Everyone waited for 8k30 video, Pro camera mode or Pro photo app, and they double down on computations.

Practically it cemented my decision to revert to point-and-shoots, will grab whatever new comes out instead of this computational madness.

Fun fact that whole keynote was a marketing disaster. They chose the worst examples to show photographic capabilities, as well as it was very noticeable the keynote was recorded on iPhone🤣 who in the world in Apple decided it would be wise to do this:

This is awful. It looks like videos from my ancient Samsung Galaxy S10+. It is all mushy and plasticky… Same 💩 as before, but if I was Apple I would have not even bragged this phone is “capable”… worse than 20 years old camcorder🤢
