you kind of have a point because the text is not larger, so how is it easier to read?

You have more real estate and global device text size can be changed in settings, so you can make use of the display however you see fit. If you want to cram a ton of text on and use a small global size, great. The Max has more usable space for this to be practical within, and you can probably notch it a size or two smaller than you'd feel comfortable on the regular Pro. My parents also use the bigger size to enlarge the global text even further to help their eyesight while still feeling like there's enough on screen at once.

As others have mentioned, there are added benefits, such as the increased battery life. I really got sick of the battery life on my 13 Pro -- it seemed to drain in just a few hours under heavy use, no more than half a day.

Beyond that, as you age, you'll find you appreciate the larger screen (and you can make the text larger) more and more.
If you need to do that you need glasses asap

Dude, what is wrong with you? If you don't like the Pro Max, then go with the regular Pro! But don't blame others for replying why they chose the Max and why they like it!
What is your point? Does everyone has to be your opinion and throw away their Maxes and pay you homage for opening their eyes, that the regular Pro it THE device for all end everyone????

Man, what's up with some people these days? o_O

Higher resolution display, battery, and more optical zoom are the only differences I see.

Pro Max is more for those wannabe show-off's who like to just splash the cash and have the best of everything at all times no matter what.
Yeh, kinda like me. Love my Pro Max.

Of course it does have more usable space. Even this forum stretches over the whole page. I think one forgets that the display size is only +0.6 of an inch larger, not double the size. But for what it is, it is absolutely larger.

Wow, I have never drained my 13 pro in the two years I've owned it and I never charge during the day, unless I forgot to charge overnight. I think I've only hit the 20% low-power mode a handful of times. It's the first phone that I've never had to worry about the battery with; it's phenomenal, even at 87ish% health.

The Pro Max is too large and uncomfortable for me, but I get your point about the larger and readable screen. Luckily my vision is still near perfect (at 43), so no need to worry about that for a while. I don't watch video on my phone or do any gaming, so the regular screen is fine.

I have perfect vision but I still enjoy the Max screen for media consumption, a bit more stuff, and battery. I don't know, my old 13P didn't felt it cost as much as it did, other than having terrible battery life. But with the Max I kinda have that YEAH NOW THIS IS WORTH MY MONEY AND IT SHOWS feeling. Also I can manage the size quite comfortably it seems. Not thinking about going back to a regular Pro atm

Tried my wife's Max and although the larger screen looks nice, it doesn't really offer any more usable space. You have the same number of icons on the screen, opening a website might show one additional word on a sentence. I guess it is kinda useful if you watch movies.

Why are the Max sizes so popular? Going from a 13" to a 17" laptop makes all the difference (work with multiple windows on the same screen) but I don't really see the benefit of having a bigger screen on the iPhone since it displays the same amount of info, icons, etc., but just a little bit bigger?

It makes you feel rich lol xd

I feel largely the same way, the 6.1" panels can display as much if not more than the 5.5" of the old Plus models, that's plenty for out and about, and at that point the benefits of having a physically smaller device outweigh any gains from an even larger display.

Just the larger keyboard was enough for me. My last three iPhones have been MAX and I can not imagine going back. I handle my friends Pro and it seems so small now. The ProMax is not for everyone but it is great for Apple to give us options! My eyes are not a young as they used to be and I get by without my glasses just fine with the Max. Also battery life is a huge plus for many!

Sorry, didn't mean to reply to this quote.

For me, it's all about the battery life. I've always thought about going back to Pro and have done once, but couldn't get on with the battery than the Pro has.

I use my phone for portability and still have access to everything. I use my iPad for streaming and anything where I need bigger screen real estate. I’m all about having a small cross body bag but still be able to carry all my necessities. The regular Pro suits my needs. I used to have the larger Plus phones but then they got heavier and heavier. Switched from the 6S Plus to the X and have stayed with the smaller phone ever since. The Pro Max also wouldn’t fit in my back pocket on my walks.

To each his/her own, right?

You need glasses then, will make no difference
?? You are not thinking. Larger display is easier to see/read, period. Fonts can be larger, the same image on a larger display is easier to see, image editing is easier, etc.

P.S. Study up on vision. Not all loss of vision is correctable by glasses. I am finding that out the hard way...

It's basically screen size for media viewing/consumption and battery life. Youtube videos are physically larger to view, instagram and facebook posts are larger to view. I do agree after having a 14 pro max and going back to the 15 Pro that there's not any more "useable" real estate. You basically just get a few more lines of text on reddit or a website.

I think most people dig the bigger social media post size and the battery life. Me included on the battery! I'm really missing my 14 PM battery.
Yes, there is "more "useable" real estate."
