Really? That’s your takeaway? what if you don’t have the ability to charge when you’re out in the city or something taking pictures? What if you forgot your charger? What if you you have long days?

Why charge twice in the same day which will absolutely harm the battery in the long term? Besides, the Max fits quite easily into my pockets.

The world doesn’t revolve around your requirements and no one is lazy (LMFAO) for wanting a phone with higher endurance.
Yes, that is my take. Many on here don't want to charge their phone even though they have the ability. I didn't say all people in my post. Charging twice in a day doesn't harm the battery long term. I think many on here are lazy and just want to be able to use their phone for days without having to charge. There are numerous posts on here saying just that. If that isn't you, then my post didn't apply to you.

That doesn’t make someone lazy😂 Why bother charging when you don’t need to?

So you ignored all the valid scenarios I raised where people might not be close to a charger? Honestly it blows me away that there’s people that are somehow against better battery life 😂
The hate for longer battery life is real.

Its both. The pixel gains on the Max results in more phone height than width (2556‑by‑1179 vs 2796‑by‑1290) which makes the Max experience a slightly scaled up version of the Pro with roughly an additional line of text. View attachment 2288494View attachment 2288496View attachment 2288553

I went to reading glasses this year so I assumed that getting the bigger phone would help out, but in the end I didn't find the visual size difference to be noticeable enough to justify the physical size/weight difference. I went back to the Pro and the only thing I miss from the Max has been a more comfortable keyboard (And speaking of keyboards, I'd much rather have a dedicated number row over an extra line of website text.)
All this, wow look at all that extra video size you get lol, and 1 line extra far out. I agree if you message a lot bigger keyboard, not worth the brick in pocket though.

Sounds more like more bad justifications for the purchase lol
Sometimes for work I'm nowhere near a charger and I don't have to worry about battery life pretty much ever. When I had a smaller phone, I always had battery anxiety. Now it's one less thing I have to concern myself with. The bigger screen is also nicer for consuming content, looking at photos, games, and various other things. Use what you like and what you need.

Why don’t certain users understand you’re not always close to a charger? They sound very very silly…

I was agreeing with you, in case there was any doubt.

I always avoided the Max because I thought typing on it with one hand was tiring. This year I switched to the 15 PM and I would never go back, for the battery but especially for the screen that allows me to read with less effort.

People don’t understand the value of a compact phone. Imagine doing everything more comfortably than on a phablet. Battery can be charged. Being comfortable cannot be changed with the max.

Tried my wife's Max and although the larger screen looks nice, it doesn't really offer any more usable space. You have the same number of icons on the screen, opening a website might show one additional word on a sentence. I guess it is kinda useful if you watch movies.

Why are the Max sizes so popular? Going from a 13" to a 17" laptop makes all the difference (work with multiple windows on the same screen) but I don't really see the benefit of having a bigger screen on the iPhone since it displays the same amount of info, icons, etc., but just a little bit bigger?
You pointed it our correctly - it is nuanced.

Where it makes no difference?
As you said, icons and all are the same. It doesn't really make a difference for day to day operations and things can be accomplished with no harm on a smaller phone.

Where it differs and larger is better?
As you pointed out, there are very few niche use cases which make the large screen better for said use case. Here is my observations having them all:

1) Immersiveness - it is noticeably larger when viewing content: instagram pops more to your face and you can spot the watches, earrings from the pictures posted on a larger screen. Photo editing gets better with the better/larger view of what you edit in lightroom.
For example, movie on the NYC subway - I can watch it on SE1 and i will totally get the point of the movie and will be able to talk about it.
But if you ask me: "remember there was this scene, behind the main actor was parked a 67 Chevelle? The same one was used in the last chase, so I suspect their neighbor was quietly helping them out to escape" I would say nope, haven't seen it - this small details pop out more on a bigger screen, so you kinda get more from your viewing experience.

2) Useful - remote admin of computers is easier to view/tap on a larger screen.

3) Battery - it is 2-4 hrs better than the smaller one. For example helps to still help family with remote admin even if you are hanging out in the evening.

4) 50/50% - text size. If you make fonts larger, it kinda fits a line or two more than the standard. It is 50/50 because it is not so obviously better than the smaller phone, but just giving that 1 extra line i am adding it here as a weak advantage.

I had the 14 Pro Max for several months and am still questioning my decision to update to the 15 Pro. The 14 PM initially felt too large and heavy for me, but I wanted to try it for the large screen advantage for my older eyes. The 14 PM screen on my device was beautiful and a pleasure to use though I didn't finding typing on it much easier. It was awkward to hold in my hand, heavy in my purse, didn't fit in my pockets and required using the speaker for phone calls. I decided to go back to the Pro this year and am very happy with my 15 Pro that works perfectly and has none of the heating issues, but I can't say that I don't miss that big screen which was a delight to use. Just comes down to choosing what works best for you. Both models are great.

The 15 Pro Max weighs just slightly more than the 14 Pro (non-Max). Even crazier, the 15 Plus weighs less than the 14 Pro! If weight was an issue with the 14 PM, it shouldn't be with the 15 PM.

It's basically screen size for media viewing/consumption and battery life. Youtube videos are physically larger to view, instagram and facebook posts are larger to view. I do agree after having a 14 pro max and going back to the 15 Pro that there's not any more "useable" real estate. You basically just get a few more lines of text on reddit or a website.

I think most people dig the bigger social media post size and the battery life. Me included on the battery! I'm really missing my 14 PM battery.
Exactly. The max is glorious for media consumption and to many, renders the need to own an ipad redundant. :D
