I returned a Black Leather Loop on the 14th day - and it was definitely open and worn (but still in like new condition) and had no problems.

I have returned 3 black bands in the past 2 weeks all due to issues with them, they took them all back with no issues. If your within 14 days they will take it back no questions asked

They wouldn't take back a leather band I wanted to return without the packaging within 2 weeks, my fault for tossing it. Now I'm stuck with a band I wore once and probably won't wear again.

So I bought a SS with Milanese loop yesterday in store, but am not sure I like that band as the sport band I had with the Apple Sport watch was much more comfortable. I may want to have just the SS watch with sport band. What would be the best way to handle this? Return the whole watch and try to pick up a SS with BSB once it is available or see if they will do a band exchange for me? I guess part of me would just rather return the whole watch and all just because the box I got says Milanese loop on the side....Then the combo I have would not match with the box if/when I go to sell it in the future.

Edit: so my local store got some more SS with BSB in stock. I just returned the Milanese loop one and got the other one. No band swap needed.

Bought the SS BSB watch (because they had nothing else in stock and never will....) and like it so far, but was looking into the classic buckle or brown loop. Called Apple to ask for a trade (seems many people got Apple switching their bands for free) and got shun by both the Senior Advisor and Supervisor over the phone...! I guess I'll have to try again tomorrow...

DELETE. Sorry - my question was answered and I don't know how to delete my post.

Did they refund you the difference?

I purchased a SS watch with black leather loop from a retail store and a classic buckle band from the online store.
But I want to swap the watch for a black sport band and the CB band for a blue leather loop, will the store just swap the bands or will they swap the watch also?
I am thinking more about reselling in the future and I want the watch description on the box to match the watch and band.

Since you bought the CB separately, of course they will just swap the bands for you no problem. When I went the first time to exchange my Bright Blue Leather Loop for the Milanese Loop, they did it as a return of the full cost of the BBLL to my card and then charged me for the ML. I'm not quite sure why they couldn't just do it as an exchange on the same bill, but ultimately not that big of a deal.

For the AW with BLL, I'd imagine they would return the entire thing, watch and all, and not just swap the bands. Otherwise they would have a loose LL with no box that they couldn't sell.

I walked into the Soho store yesterday and they took off my SS band, gave me Milanese band, and a $350 gift card. I've had the watch 45 days. The Milanese is so much more comfortable.

Seems really hit or miss. My black sport band started peeling last night, and both the retail store and Apple phone support told me my only option was to return/repurchase the whole watch.

Of course they are currently out of stock of the model I want...

Good luck.

I noticed that my SB BSB was peeling, too. Took it to the Apple Store and they replaced it with no questions asked. I think it took 10 minutes, from the time I entered the store until I walked out with a new band.

just got my watch wednesday, i opted for a stainless steel with silicone band for now so today i go get a white silicone band, was offered to swap for free btw but i like the black band for work, and i asked the guy about the SS band bc i wanted to see it and without even blinking he's like don't bother it scratches so easily. I found that rather enlightening since usually apple employees really praise their products. So I will be purchasing a 3rd party SS band once i find a decent one

Hey all,

Is this service still in place for a Band Swap? I'm looking to get my first apple watch, likely a Silver Aluminum 42mm. But I want it with a blank woven nylon band, not pearl. Is that swap even an option?

Thanks.

The program's rules would exclude this because the band you swap to must be available as an out of the box option for the silver aluminum watch face, and the black woven nylon is available only for the black aluminum watch face.

Not sure if it'll even work anymore because they've severely limited the out of the box band options compared to the original collections.

If you can only swap for existing sku's, then I don't understand the point of the swap. Or I am misunderstanding. What f I get a silver aluminum with a white sports band but want a black sports band?

There are several rules for band swaps:

- The new band must be within the same collection as the watch and must be an available band option for that watch face.

- The band swap is within 14 day return period.

- The watch must have been purchased at the Apple Online Store, Kiosk, or Apple Store App.

- You are not using band swaps as a way to configure a sellable product for a customer.

Problem is black sport band isn't an available band option for the silver aluminum watch face.

I'm not even sure if it's even doable now because they've severely limited the band options compared to the original collection. It was easier to do with the original collection because they had all the band colors available as an out of the box option. It's not the case anymore.
