The Moto X+1

I dont understand why someone would rather have a rear / downward facing speaker, the only positive is looks.

My smartphone is probably the device that I spend the most time touching and looking at per day (well maybe except my girlfriend ).

I think it just looks awful.

By the way looking at the "skip" thing, I stumbled over this slide:

this one misses the bottom front facing speaker, making it look much more akin to the Moto X. It even has the little microphone hole the Moto X has aswell.

The Moto X was a huge eye opener for me enough to give this next gen a serious look. Then again I should just leave well enough alone. Yeah, right.

Really disappointed Motorola increased the size. I get 1 new phone every year and was pretty convinced the 2nd generation Moto X was going to be my 2014 upgrade and first Android phone.

Looking forward to seeing the new X+1. My Moto G has really been a nice phone which I use along with my iPhone 4S. I will either be upgrading to the 6 or the X+1.

At first I didn't like the new design but it has been growing on me a lot over the last few weeks. We'll see what the announcement brings and what pricing is.

What I really really hope is that the footprint is still small. Part of what makes me love my Moto X is how subtle and out of the way it is. I slip it into my pocket and don't even know it's there. It's a phone and doesn't try to be anything else.

If Moto gets this right and hits another home run this is what I'm going to replace my Moto X with when the time comes.

So where is the flash for the camera? It should be next to the camera. Does the big M logo double as a flash? Will there be an big M embossed on all pictures taken with the camera? Just kidding. But where is the flash??

The dual led flash is either side of the lens embedded in the oversized camera ring...

I do think that shown is hideous.

I'm neutral on the design. I don't love it and I don't hate it. That said, I own a Moto G which looks somewhat similar so I'm used to it.

I think you're right, never thought about it but it really does look like a button.

Looks like its confirmed it will be bigger that 5.2" and probably something in-between the LG-G3 and OnePlus One size wise. That's too big for me and kind of misses the point of what made the moto X so great.

A definite strike against for me personally as well if it is larger than I would like. That puts the ip6 and Alpha as my prorities if that is the case.

I don't think it's going to be bigger that 5.2", especially with all the leaks we've had. I agree with Droid Life, I think the measurements are just for the front of the phone.

I kind of like it. And since generally I dislike putting cases on my phones, the leather back would be really nice.


It's going to be a tough call - Nexus 6 or this.

Seems like the button on the back can be customized aswell (hoping for wooden options aswell. The white front looks hideos with all these sensors.

I need to see it in person. Digging my LGG3 for size in the larger smartphone segment so we'll see.

BB rep promised me they will let me see it first thing when they get it regardless if it is not on display. It pays to have good rapport though goodness knows I have bought plenty there.
