those feet... those feet... i don't even understand the feet.
Yeah from certain angles, good looking computers these ain't, though that could be forgiven if the view of the display and keyboard deck which you'll be looking at 99% of the time was good - and for the most part it is, but the black keyboard surround just bothers me. It's like why have you done that? It neither looks good nor serves a functional purpose... and now I'm starting to sound like Jony Ive, but in this case I get it!

I like the redesign, but am I correct that the black part where the keyboard is, is actually black aluminium? If so, we all know what has happened in the past when Apple have made black aluminium, I can see that area chipping and revealing silver over the years.

I noticed the difference between 12 inch 2 lb and the 13 inch air. it may have been half a pound or so but it was enough to make me want to wait for a 12 inch replacement. This was for lap/couch/single hand carry use. My issue with he 16 inch 2019 is its just not comfortable on couch or in bed. it has to be on table. But if im to use a MacBook on a table most of the time, maybe its jsut best to go with an iMac and get a bigger screen for the same $$. im kinda leaning for getting a 12 inch macboook M2 and a 32 inch iMac M2 Pro in 2022 and get best of both worlds. You guys know you use this stuff on a table at home 99% of the time.

I’m so glad it’s not so skinny that it can’t even cool itself down. We’ll see how it looks in person, but I’m glad they sacrificed thinness for functionality.

From a purely aesthetic point of view, I love the gently upswept design of my i9 16" MBP which is virtually identical to my much used and loved late 2013. If I needed the performance of the new machines this would not stop me for a microsecond. However, my needs these days are perfectly fine with my current machine which I plan to keep for at least another 2-3 years.

Despite being almost the same dimensions as my late 2013 13" MBP the AR function on the Apple store makes the new device look noticeably thicker, particularly in Space Grey. Wonder if it has a thinner screen but thicker body, or if the AR isn't doing it justice?

Late-2013 13" MBP: 31.4cm(w) x 21.9cm(d) x 1.8cm(h) | 1.57kg
2021 14" MPB: 31.26cm(w) x 22.12(d) x 1.55cm(h) 1.6kg

I love the bulky heft to it, with the giant air vents. It is a Pro machine and finally the MacBook Pro feels like a Pro machine.

If I wanted something light and slender, I would get the MacBook Air. Or wait for the 2022 refresh of the MacBook Air.

There should be a big difference between the Pro and Air lines....

Am I the only one that loved the weight of my 3lbs Macbook Pro? The extra 0.5lbs on the 14" (3.5lbs total) does something to me where it could cross the threshold of just being to heavy and I hate that on my back.

The 2021s 14" ~1cm thicker in width, ~1cm thicker in depth, ~0.6cm thicker in height* (compared to my 13" 2017 MBPs @1.49cm. The outgoing MBPs are 1.56cm, so 2021 would be 0.1mm thinner than current, but not thinner than previously)

The design aesthetic is also very resemblant to the bottom of white Macbook, which was released in 2006, the earliest I can think of this design being used. Also imagine this in silver for the aluminium Macbook Pros, which practically had shared the same design

Yes, no dongles and blazing fast and pro but it is a very very very thicc boy.

And the feet... the big fat feet.
This is one hell of an ugly MacBook ?
hello old G4.
The notch is pretty gnarly too.
But!
That aside, the power!
32 GPUs!
64 gig ram!
Big fat juicy powerhouse.
Yep I bought one of these ugly b*tch*s for sure. I am very excited for my new and ugly baby to arrive!

Maye increase your exercise program to handle the extra 1/2 pound? Hey...I’m 72 years old. It's no problem for me.
