Screen on time is around about 35 mins a day... any more and the phone just dies... I think it's a battery problem.

before you give away your phone factory reset the phone and see if anything changes. if it doesnt, then there is definitely something wrong with the hardware.

Did the 4.2.2 or 4.3 update not correct this for you ? I noticed when I had mine the 4.2.2 update reduced charging time by over an hour...

ugh. i'm in the united states here, and i'm still waiting for the update. unfortunately, it's looking like i won't be seeing the update regardless as i'm about to sell the phone and go back exclusively to ios. maybe the nexus 5 will sway me to come back.

My HTC One charges pretty fast if it's in Power Save mode. Takes about 2.5 hours to go back 10% to 100%. But if it's in normal mode it takes like double that time.

What carrier? HTC Ceo said on Twitter that they will provide an update on the 4.3 situation for carrier branded Ones early next week. The 4.3 update was supposed to happen by Sep 30th - but carriers being carriers, it's pushed out but not by far.

I think HTC is doing better with the update communication here than most Android vendors and the word on the street is that the leaked AT&T 4.3 update is close to perfect.

Anyone heard any rumors of a HTC One replacement yet? The Xperia Z was released around the same time, and Sony has already released the improved Z1. I'm hoping for a HTC One +, (with an improved camera) to be released in the coming months, but all I keep hearing about is that HTC One Max.

Agreed. I had to get 3 Ones before I got one I really liked, but I don't see the difference between that and the iPhone 5 when it was released. Having a aluminum phone is hard to make it perfect every time. Just keep giving it a try. At least one more time. I think you just have a bad device.

So after a brief affair with the iPhone 5s I am back to my lovely red HTC One. No phone this year has hit all the marks like I feel the HTC One has. The 5s wins with the coolness of Touch ID and the main camera, but the One wins in nearly every aspect in my opinion. I don't even think the Apple ecosystem is better anymore. Google Music, Keep, and Dropbox for photos is stronger than iTunes & Photostream. And the apps on iOS aren't all they're cracked up to be anymore, as Android is just as good with nearly everything. And in certain cases (Snapchat) apps are actually VASTLY superior on my HTC One. I'm completely over the iPhone now sadly.

Still love my iMac though. :)

Humor me. Go on.

I would say it has a better screen, a bit faster because Touchwiz has all those features running, sense 5 is better than Touchwiz IMO, and the One has more storage at it's base.

Now some of these things a just opinion, but I do think the One has some major features that make it better. I also think the one has a much better stock keyboard.

Dropbox is fantastic. Best part is that it is cross-platform

Did you forget that you can have any Android keyboard you want?

The Google Keyboard is the best one out there.

And I recently just saw your thread about being completely enamored by the iPhone 5S over in the iPhone forum. Wow.

Wait so how do I get 4.2.2? We just got an HTC One for my mom on AT&T running 4.1.2 and I'm not sure how to update her..Android is still new to me..

I tried a software update but it seems like I have the most current version.

4.1.2 is the latest version out for AT&T models. HTC decided to skip the update to 4.2.2 for North American models (except for the Verizon version which was just released in August with 4.2.2) and go straight to 4.3. The unlocked Developer Editions received the update last week with the AT&T version still going through certification, hopefully out next week. You should get an OTA (over the air) notification when the update is available for your model.

Is there any way to show notifications on the Lock Screen besides relying on the notification light or icons on the top? I know the iphone shows missed calls and texts in a nice list, is there any way to do this on Android without having to swipe the top?

Works just like the Moto X. And probably a little more customizable. You can choose which apps will use it or which apps can't. Pretty nice. Works with all devices 4.0 and up.

After using the app for a few days, I found I didn't really like it nor need it, but hopefully it helps you find what you need.

EDIT: I'm actually surprised Motorola hasn't shut this app down. This app eliminates one of Moto X's key features, no?
