Royal Mail let me down on mine today. It'll be here tomorrow though. Happy to answer and questions on it when it arrives.

...Got it from Phones4u via over the phone

...the silver model is good for next day delivery via the website or over the phone.

Plus side is they are also unlocked and unbranded. Don't think the other phone retailers are getting stock until near the end of March.

The other advantage of Phones4u is that it is £489.95, whereas it is £529.95 from Amazon.co.uk and £519.99 from Expansys.

Ordered one today! :)

Mine arrived today. 32GB silver.

First impressions... very nice indeed. Build quality is top notch.. right up there with my iPhone5. Nice to finally have an Android device that feels expensive in the hand.

Free HTC flip case is rubbish. Mine doesn't even click onto the phone properly.

The supplied headphones sound pretty good. Only a single button on the controls though so need to figure that one out.

The built in speakers are awesome. Best sound quality I've heard on a smartphone so far.

Minor grumble.. CoPilot doesn't seem to play nice at the moment. Some of the buttons are missing text etc. Sure an update will sort that though.

Only had it a couple of hours. Tad early to comment on battery life.

Home screen is ok. Blinkfeed is a bit meh.. going to give it a proper go though before deciding to ditch it. First thing I did was change the grid layout of the app drawer to 4 x 5.

Oh the the sync manger can read the iPhone backup file and import the camera roll, text messages etc which is kinda handy :)

I hate you ;-) j/k

Congrats Andy. Hope I get mine soon. I didn't realise HTC were including a case ? I have my double dip case ready as soon as mine arrives anyway.

Yeah other android manufacturers need to get there bums in gear when it comes to decent mac software and mac consumers who might be moving to android.

Yes, a good review from Pocket Lint, but I'm a little concerned at how easy it is to scuff.

Pocket Lint can't seem to handle phones without scuffing them. They said the same thing with their first iPhone 5 hands on.

Every review I've read has, in some way, knocked the home reconfiguration of the HTC One. And deservedly so. Damn you HTC. Damn you.

http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-one-review

A lot of reviews also say the camera doesn't live up to its hype. Hrmm. :\

And, again, yet another "only decent" battery life review. That frightens me.

I so want to like this phone. Damnit.

This infuriates me even more: http://www.droid-life.com/2013/03/1...-htc-button-can-be-mapped-with-custom-kernel/

If this is true, the HTC center logo could have easily been a button had HTC chose to. They just decided they didn't want that to be a button. Why?!

Even more, if the HTC area could have been gesture based, instead of just a button, that would be amazing. They could've done so much with that area. But at the very least, it should have and could have been a capacitive button for 'home.'

I noticed at least once Aaron presses the HTC button to try to go back home. :(

Well he is not Brian Klug (with Anand Lal Shimpi on cellphones) who quite probably provides the finest cell phone reviews. Unlike the others, he and Anand take a lot of time with their reviews instead of being "first out the gate"

"Number of times I’ve tried tapping the “HTC” logo on the HTC One: 0.

Two button layout is surprisingly the biggest non-issue ever.

If Samsung can squeeze a removable 2,600 mah battery into a 7.9 mm thick, similarly sized frame, why can't HTC put a bigger battery in here? That really irks me, also the huge amount of bezel around the screen.

Of course, over time, I'm sure I'd get used to the configuration as would anyone.

My issue deals more with the why. Why did HTC change it? As far as I can see, it's purely to put the HTC logo. And if that other article is true and the area where the HTC logo is is actually a touchscreen area, why didn't they make it the home button? It must've crossed their minds; they're not dumb. They just chose not to. And for no good reason that I can think of.

I want to be clear also that as much as I want this phone, my reservations go beyond the home configuration. I hate the power/wake lock button location too (as phones get bigger, HTC needs to realize what Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony, and many others have realized: that the only button to access the phone should not be hard to reach). Also hate BlinkFeed is forcibly there no matter what (of course a launcher could fix that). Launching with 4.1 -- outdated before it's even out.

And the biggest fear: the battery life. HTC has a poor history when it comes to battery life. I can't imagine what it'll be like on LTE. We won't know until we see carrier specific or US reviews. All these "decent" battery reviews are of non-LTE version. We must that that into consideration.

I so want to like this device. I love its look. :(

I'm very tempted to sell my Nexus 4 and get this phone but I'm not so sure yet. I'd be more convinced if I could actually see the phone in my hands but I don't think it'll be in stores here anytime soon.

First full day of use today so be interesting to see how the battery holds out.

The button layout isn't as bad as I thought. You get used to it pretty quickly.

Lots of apps have the three dot menu button. Really like that to be sorted if possible.

Hopefully they add the option in settings that a longpress on back would bring up menu so they can get rid of the three dots. They did similar thing in Sense 4 to get rid of it.
