I am as interested in a nice 24-27 inch Retina monitor as I am a new mac mini.
Bring it on, Apple!
Tonight please!
I think this is the rub, and Broadwell also.
What if Apple was waiting for release of the Retina Thunderbolt monitor, along side new iMacs, to bring us an updated Mac mini with Broadwell?
While much is known about the delays of Broadwell and hence the likely impact on Apple's plans for the beloved little computer, consider the following:
- high resolution iMac (I believe it was referred to as model number 15.1 in the Yosemite build) perhaps was supposed to be the as yet unannounced Mid 2014 27" iMac referenced on the Bootcamp support page;
- this may suggest that summer 2014 was supposed to be about bringing Retina to the whole desktop lineup; and
- the also as yet unannounced Mid 2014 Mac mini was supposed to be released with a Broadwell CPU, better integrated GPU and a pair of Thunderbolt II ports already!
Question is, are high resolution panels also coming to market later than one might have predicted a year ago or so?
The only product update that does not line up in this theory is OS X and the fall release of Yosemite, which is obviously not aligned with the
Mid 2014 hardware updates that are missing in action as of today, a lowly Monday.
Cheers
