What are you buying instead?

I don't know about philipma1957, but for myself I am stockpiling diesel fuel and canned food to prepare for the breakdown of society that will happen if the fabled mid 2014 Mini does not arrive on any of the next two Tuesdays.

This thread is closing on 3.000 posts, but we already hit another impressive number. After going over 100 pages, this thread has now over 500.000 views!

It's currently the most view thread in MacRumors Forums > Apple Hardware > Desktops.

However, we must get to 3.000 posts very soon, in order the please the Mac Mini God and get an updated model tomorow :p

How many of the 2928 posts are people saying it's out next tuesday though?

Also as i'm bored the number 2928 in days is the same amount of days since I bought my first Mac Mini (August 12th 2006).

When?

By what time does the dogma of Tuesdayology dictate that we collect the required 3000 posts? Is it midnight between Monday and Tuesday, Cupertino time? Or will it be OK also later in the morning?

In any case we are a bit slow right now... as opposed to the raging hordes discussing the iPhone6 rumor about 1 GB RAM. They look like they are going to hit 3000 before we do...

Maybe we can stir things up here with a not terribly well substantiated rumor about 1GB soldered RAM in the new Mini?

Tomorrow, which is Tuesday, I will be walking into an Apple store and walking out with a brand new UPDATED Mac mini.

So, yes, it will be in the stores upon being announced. NO WAITING :)

I've been hearing some uncomfirmed rumors that the new Mini will have 1G ram, a sapphire touchscreen and this funky new style of USB connector

I think I almost certainly may have heard a rumor that the new Mac mini is designed to use the iphone 6 in a dedicated slot for graphics sli and dual cpu's. The mini will almost certainly be released tomorrow as chum for the iPhone feeding frenzy.

Apple could update the Mac mini every year ... just use the Macbooks hardware, that is.

We could have a Haswell Mac mini since last year. But no ... Apple doesn't have that ambition.

Mac Mini confirmed for December 2015?. :D Twitter

Sites apparently reporting in all seriousness that Mac mini update is "confirmed" for December...2015.

If it does not come soon.

My 2010 Mac Mini is starting to get a bit long in the tooth. I use it for my business. If it fails then I can use my old 2008 Mac Pro that started out with 16GB ram, and is now down to 8GB, the rest has failed over the years. I need a new machine and want to buy another mini. Could this be the year I go back to building a Windows PC? Not going to buy an IMac, as I already have two monitors, don't want a new Mac Pro as it is too expensive and lacks standard graphics cards (I play windows games on my Mac Pro). A Macbook? not after the last one!

There was rumour that they were going to build the mini in the US? Factory not ready yet?

Won't wait for ever Apple.....just saying.

I'm not buying a new Mac mini unless it has a retina display covered by a sapphire glass and a built-in quad-core Mac Pro and a dock for my Nintendo DSi.

edit: come on guys, only 56 posts to go!

nothing I ended my mac mini business on ebay.

Last sale was in Nov 2013.

I sold a 2012 quad with a 2tb fusion and 16 gb ram.

To a local mixing recording artist.

The drives were a 1tb samsung ssd and a 1 tb Hitachi hdd.
The ram was 2 sticks of kingston 8gb ram.

I have sometimes thought that a mini business on eBay would be great. Upgraded mini's :)

Sure will be fun to see what the next mini has in store for us.

Come on Apple. I have a credit card and wish to buy 10 new Mac Minis, why will you not take my money?
