Beejive 3.0 Released!

Get it from their website :) You probably have to redownload the app.

The app on the appstore says it's 2.2. Plus I've changed my login to a different email address and it says I have to rebuy it. Is this right? Any one else change apple logins and have to repurchase apps?

Yes, you will have to pay again if you have changed logins. However, since you are on 3.0, just change to the itunes account you originally purchased it on and it should let you redownload it for free.

I can also confirm that everything is working beautifully, if anyone still has doubts. I didn't wait for the update, just reinstalled it. Works awesome!

I assume Beejive is superior to IM+? Sorry, about to purchase my first IM app. :)

SWEET!
Thanks for the awesome news everyone. I've been waiting for this app to be updated since 3.0 came out, this will be my first push app, and I use it all the time with push email.

I simply just Pressed "Buy App" on the Beejive app screen (even though I had already bought it) and it said, "this update is free since you already own this app".

Can't wait to try it out!:D

Kinda strange that it doesn't show up as 3.0 in the description in itunes yet, nor does checking for updates find it as an update, but if you click Buy App, it definitely downloads the updated version (which is a free update). Hopefully there are no bugs, can't wait to test it out.

Does it really push or does it send it to your email and thats how you are notified? I hate the fact that IM+ says its push but all it does is send it to my gmail account. Which isn't push so it defeats the purpose.

Wow -- thanks for the tip. Re-downloaded via iTunes and it was indeed the new version (the download states 3.0 with Push)

I can't believe how FAST push is! It's amazing!

What's also great is that it always shows you as logged in, even after you quit the Beejive App.

Anyone know how idle time and stuff like that works?

No - it's using the proper push notification service.

You can set all that by going into 'settings'

just got it! so does the apple server keep you signed on even when you exit the app? the text notification doesn't use up your text msgs right? also, they should also allow an option for sound but no vibrate...

No worries, this is proper push. First time i've used it in action. I'm blown away.

Oh, it's so sexy. I'm in love.

Great isn't it!

I'm just hoping they're planning to change the way notifications are displayed. Will get rather difficult to manage when you've got several applications potentially pushing messages to you all at once. At the moment only the latest appears, getting rid of all the others.

There is an option for sound. Settings>Beejive or settings>notifications>beejive

It doesn't show in your texting app, and yes, it keeps you "signed in"

Wirelessly posted (iPod touch 32GB: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

Thos is what push excels at: beejive with push is, quite simply, the most useful app currently available. I love the interface (I was an IM+ user and beejive is far better) and the push notifictions are awesome.

It's like having a new phone :)
