Just a note. You don't need to delete anything. Just re 'buy' the app. It shows as 3.0. Done.

wow is this push going fast. beejive is a great app and it's starting up quickly. this is exactly what i was waiting for all the time

Seems to be crashing on me when doubling tapping on a persons name or pressing the little arrow to get to their profile screen. Restarted the ipod and it's still doing it.

I wish the sound setting on beejive was adjustable. It's loud as hell when my ringer volume is always up lol

But about time. Push is working flawlessly!!!!

Am I the only one not getting the push notifications. I am sending messages from my wifes MSN account and nothing. Open the app and they appear. Yes push is enabled on the phone for beejive.

Since 3.0 is going to be $15.99 if i "re-buy" it will it charge me again? Cuz it gives me the message that it will charge my credit card when i hit buy even though i have version 2.1

no it's still free, just press the re-buy and it will tell you before downloading that it's free, as you have already paid. i did it myself

There is an option for sound. Settings>Beejive or settings>notifications>beejive

It doesn't show in your texting app, and yes, it keeps you "signed in"

Hmm.. I just tested this. I changed the Session Timeout to "Logout on exit", and once I exitted the app my friend told me I was logged out. So I guess you have to be logged on onto Beejive in order to let the push notification work properly. Does anyone know if changing the Session Timeout to say 12 hr or 24 hr will eat up a lot of battery life even if you exit the app? Thanks.

Anybody got this working on a 3G? (not S). I downloaded
the 3.0 version and its not doing push. I have all 3 notifications
enabled. I disabled email push in settings. Still nothing. My messages
only show if I launch the app. Suggestions?

sorry for the newbie question-

what's better about beejive over AIM?

It really depends on your circumstances. Beejive supports multiple accounts such as AIM, MSN, etc. If you only have an AIM account there's no massive benefit.

You need to delete the app in order to "buy" it again.

I was going to say false, but I think I see the difference. I was working on my desktop, not on my phone. So you're correct on the phone and I'm right iTunes. It's a win-win!

No, it keeps you logged in through beejive's server.

Nothing to do with your phone.

Got it! Thanks OP!

Combines all your IMing accounts. Landscape. Great stabilty. A bit of customization. Keeps you signed in even after you exit. Trust me, you will have a better experience with BeejiveIM than AIM, especially if you have more than one IMing account.
