I really hope it's something where I wake up (or see the first pics of) and say "Holy crap!" the iMac G4 to me is really cool, the G5/Current.. not quite as cool but it seems more practical (Wall mounting ability, just seems like a more solid design) but I hope that it's a new design.

I hope the chin at least is shaved, I thought I liked it till I saw the iMac in person, it overwhelms the screen. I'd love for it to resemble the ADC, I'd much rather have a thicker iMac that seems thin from the front, then one that seems thick at the front with a chin.

I just hope that we'll see a good GPU, at least in the PC world mid-ranged.

My iMac mockup

Here's a quick mockup of the new iMac I made.
The side is gonna use the new Apple patent for the lit up LED touch screen thing. The lights change depending on the function. Green and Red for turn on and shut down, white for increase brightness, and blue for volume up and down. This can all be accessed from the keyboard as well. The CD loading mechanism will have that shiny blue glow similar to the Nintendo Wii. The enclosure would be similar to the iPhone (glossy black). The stand is like the Apple Cinema Displays.

I actually think there's something in this mock up. I think the black sheen, like the iPhone, is where it's going - although I don't think it will look like the current imac much, and it won't glow in the dark either

Ok so I am pretty sure everyone knows this, but there is an apple keynote tomorrow 8/7. I am pretty sure that it is an iMac announcement. Now I am not 100% on this but like I said it is probably just an announcement it might not come out yet. I would be very upset if this is the case, because I too am waiting to purchase a new iMac. I also hope that it is not just updated, but also has a new look to it as well. those are my 2 cents.

ok gays ... i think the imac will not make a big difference because before 2 years they made a big difference in it... but the only thing that might bring a different look its because the new macbook's have a different design. and i don't think that they will bring out that black one that everyone is talking about! because like in my dads office he wouldn't like to see black macs...not suitable for everyone

First off, maybe it's me but I'm not getting your point. Second, why the gays thing? And third, you couldn't post this in a more recent thread?? Now it looks as if you are talking about the 2010/11 imac...
