I am typing this post on my BRAND NEW 2.4GHz 15" MacBook Pro! Just got back from sales-tax-free New Hampshire! :D

This is my first Mac ever. God I love it.

It took forever to get the network to work properly but it turned out to be a problem on the administrative side and not on the MBP's side.

This is definitely the most beautiful computer I've ever used. I'll have to post some pics up soon.

Glossy or matte?

I also favor matte. I've got a Macbook (Glossy), but a friend has a Macbook Pro (Matte). Comparing the two, matte wins hand down. My friend is a designer and matte especially well for him on the road in a room with sometimes funky lights. While the glossy isn't bad, matte's just more versatile.

Another vote for matte--gossy is just has too much glare. My mbp looks awesome with a matte screen. Just my two cents.

Although nothing exciting came out of the WWDC apart from some cool features in leopard, I'm still waiting a few weeks till July to get my SR MBP, I'm going on holiday in 10 days and the UK student deal might have started by the time I get back on 11th July. I can wait another 10 days...... I hope :)

I'm am starting to go for Matte as a screen choice.... although glossy does look great I recon in day to day use it's probably more annoying.
