One original SE in my family is still being used for photos, I haven't checked the battery capacity for a while but it wasn't bad last time. It's still working just fine too.

Not much has changed, really. Steve knocked it out of the park.

I've bought several newer iPhones since 2018 but I always somehow end up back on my 8+. I had a 13 pro but it was just a bit too heavy for me and I have PWM issues, so I gave it to my husband who's been using a huge old android tablet for everything for years(it was really cute watching him marvel at having something so small that does everything his tablet does lol). I got myself an SE 3 after that which I loved, but the battery was insufficient for our pokemon go addiction. Charging during the day wasn't always possible and I really didn't like how warm my battery case got. I dug out my old 8+ and once again have a renewed appreciation for just how great this phone really is. Battery lasts me all day, it's still fast and runs iOS 16 beta like a champ, pics still look amazing, and I get to use all my favorite old cases again. By far my favorite iPhone ever. Husband is wanting to get me another 13 pro but honestly I might just use this one till it gets EOLed. Or get an SE+ if Apple ever grants my greatest wish 🤞
