For me, it works.

But I use Safari specifically on the iPad… because it’s a better experience. When it comes to the MBP, I prefer Edge… mainly because it’s more feature rich compared to Safari (I like the split screen feature and sidebar). And when it comes to Android… Samsung Internet is the top dawg (imo).

It might seem rather strange to have different browser for each device, but if I need to pick up where I left off from some site… that’s where Google Keep comes into the picture. Or if I need to transfer files among my devices… I use Google Drive. And to be honest, there’s no feature other than iMessage but I’m able to replicate that with BlueBubbles.

do you use an app as a password manager across all devices then? I find it so easy to just say use chrome across everything with its pass mgr (yep I know I know it's not considered the safest way to do it)

Love bluebubbles, it's really good. Shame about beeper but bluebubbles has been pretty much 100% reliable for me and free

I use Bitwarden on Android and manually enter passwords on web sites when needed on my Chromebook, iPad or Mac's.

They also have a web front-end that you could login on from any device and copy-paste passwords directly.

Storing them in a browser password manager is not something I've ever been comfortable doing.

yep, exactly my feeling :)
But boring how? Like, what are you guys doing on your phones that are so 'exciting' ? To me a phone is a phone, bank apps, social media, email, videos, camera etc etc... Is there something else y'all are doing / accessing on your android phones that is so much less boring?

I have S24U, P8P and the 15PM at this very minute, the sim card is in the iPhone as I just find it more reliable to be honest. My android preference comes from notification centre, back swipe from anywhere and the fact you can install IPTV apps etc on it which i'll admit does come in handy.

That's frustrating I'm sure. I didn't even take the screen protector off of my phone and they accepted my photos. At least it got resolved. The process was a tad unnecessary.

Is it normal to be thinking about iPhone daily? Because when I had iPhone(s) I sure as heck wasn't thinking about other phones daily. It's the damnedest thing. It isn't FOMO I don't think, there isn't any feature I miss from iOS. It's like I lost a sense of security by moving on, a feeling that I can't get rid of. Maybe it's familiarity over all these years always using / having an iPhone handy. Normally at this point I'd use my iPhone for a bit and then swap the SIM back into Android. To get my fix. I'm glad I sold my iPhone + APP + watch so I don't have an opportunity to revert back this time.

My swipes, inputs, and actions are done faster on the Galaxy, multi-window view and switcher via HomeUp is a game-changer, my typing is faster as the keyboard is more responsive to me vs. iPhone. Galaxy Buds sound better than AirPods Pro, loving the Watch 6 classic. There are so many features on the Galaxy that blow away iPhone, yet I can't stop wanting it back for some reason. Links within Google Drive spreadsheets + opened by Office 365 wouldn't open due to "browser not being associated with this profile" error. Immediately I thought, "this wouldn't happen on iPhone, this is trash." Then adjusted a couple settings within the appropriate apps to not open links within apps, and it worked again.

Apple's marketing is ingenious, I don't have an addictive personality or anything and never buy anything based on ads. Yet I am still affected by it. First world problem and a bit pathetic, I'm fully aware.

Hopefully the feeling will subside. It's just a phone FFS. I think it's the fact that I've had an iPhone since the iPhone 4 and use my phone several hours a day for work and play, just accustomed to the routine within iOS. Brain needs to be re-wired and accustomed to Android, I think.
What is multi Windows view and switcher? Some kind of combo?

Boost for Reddit is as good as it gets and crushed Apollo on iOS. Sadly, Tapatalk, which has a lot of multi-platform plusses is falling by the wayside/disabled for some of my haunts now.

Direct Lightroom integration is stellar

Great overall performance and a lot of customization possibilities.

Apple's iOS is becoming a relic like Cisco's IOS... polluted with legacy baggage, increasingly unweildy, less relevant and just downright frustrating for me to use anymore.

I can tolerate it on an iPad because Apple has owned fluid performance in the tablet marketspace since iPad 1 days!

Navigation and hogtied restrictions on an iPhone (and Apple Mu$ic) make me wanna smash 'em

Customization. Apple did finally understand that people like to make their phone personal and have improved that area a lot, but are still way behind Android.

Thoughts after owning the S24+ after 4 days (coming from S24+):

- I'm surprised I actually like the new design better. First impressions when I tried the phone at the store were not great. I liked the S23+ better. Now I just love the S24+. Feels more premium somehow. Maybe it's the squarish design feel in the hand.

- Brightness outdoors is definitely better. Every advancement in this regard is a huge plus for me.

- Battery life seems on par. I have the display set at FHD+.

- I really like OneUI 6.1. Love the new lockscreen and all its customizations. I really like how Samsung gives us so many options, and this will probably only keep getting better with years.

- Phone feels really fast, fluid and no overheating, just like the S23+. Got the Exynos version.

- Picture quality is good for me. Thankfully, pictures are not as oversharpened as before. I could definitely notice it on the S23+ and didn't like it. Still have more testing to do.

- Videos look great. Today filmed some 1080P videos for work and the quality was amazing. People look really sharp and natural. I tried portrait videos and they are great. Very impressed overall, since they are FHD and not 4K. I use FHD because they are videos for social networks and 4K is not really necessary for that. For my own collection I do use 4K but haven't done any yet.

Overall very happy. Considering this will get 7 years of updates, and that I have the 512GB model, I do really wish to keep this one for almost all that time. Screen is almost perfect, the phone is so fast and responsive, I'm liking certain Android features a lot (something so simple as pull down for the notification panel, and Google keyboard is just perfect also), battery life is good..

I will probably just use this phone as my "tablet" also.

Just opened and tried the Galaxy Buds FE and they're great, enough for my needs (I'm not a huge music consumer). They were "free" with the purchase.

They'll be very handy for calls in my case, and maybe I'll take them outside when going for a walk to listen to music while at it.

Setup and connection to the phone was flawless. Supposedly they have noise cancellation. The tactile buttons are great also. It's amazing these are so cheap (80€ where I live).

Would be awesome if Samsung had something like the Airpods Max. Of course, the case comes with USB-C (Oh, Apple, how could it take you so long...).

Looks just like a pixel!

Should've saved yourself a few bucks and stuck with your P8!
Mhhh. S23 plus held its own against P8P in my 2+ week bake-off.

The S24+ and Ultra SD3 (and unfettered Exynos 2400 too, probably) are next level.

Maybe Pixel 10 Pro with 5th gen Tensor processor will have something other than mindless photo snappability to offer.

I do love this about Samsung... the tradeins, the offers, the freebies are just amazing compared to Apple.. In fact I really should sell some of the freebies that I got and don't need.

I think they need a proper apple watch ultra competitor though... it's hard to give that one up.

My homescreen setup would look almost the same on any phone I have. Pixel, Galaxy, or I'd even make an iPhone look similar to this. It's just what I'm comfortable with.

I have always preferred circle style icons for years, and never liked the rounded square icon type like the iPhone.

I still have my Pixel 8 Pro, and use it a lot in the mornings while working out, and I love the phone, but then when I pick up the S24U, it just feels substantially nicer, holding it and looking at the big flat rectangular screen, just feels high-end, the colors too, the display looks richer. The S24 Ultra feels like a true flagship. And I really like the display, the matte non glossy screen is great, and it's super bright outdoors.

Now my Pixel 8 Pro in comparison feels a bit more mid range, it's a great phone, but it just seems a bit lesser of a phone for some reason. I still love the Pixel line, it's my fav, but man I wish Google would truly put top dog [H]ardware inside them already.

Remember the GPE phones from years ago? Which were the flagship HTC and Samsung phones for that year, but instead of running Sense UI or Touchwiz UI, those were running stock Android with updates handled directly by Google. That would be great to see again, imagine a S24 Ultra GPE.

So my opinion is, both the Pixel 8 Pro and Galaxy S24 Ultra are great phones, I just think the S24U is better, but not by a ton, I still prefer Pixel UI more, but the hardware is just clearly better on the S24U.

Are you guys using the AI features much?

I still haven't had a real case scenario where I need to use the AI picture editing, circle to search, etc. Only the AI wallpapers.

I'm using the ambient wallpaper and hope they keep developing that as now it's a lab thing.... circle to search a few times a day some days and picture editing mainly deleting elements from photos and regenerating the missing bits. All of which works nicely for me MOST of the time (but when it makes a mess, it really makes a mess)

I use the built in password manager found on the browsers... Each browser have settings in place to find any given password.

And I use Authy for the two step authentication.

That’s great to know, the one thing about Samsung is the endless customisation.
Agree… 1,000 percent!

I think your opinion on the s24 ultra and Pixel 8 Pro are spot on.

I feel the same way.

However, in some earlier post you were a bit disparaging of iOS by saying avoid it like the plague. I have no idea the context so I am not going to guess. As someone who uses both Android and iOS I really don't like when people make blank general statements in a negative nature about an entire OS. It just isn't needed. We have all heard it a billion times before. Don't like janky get off Android. And I can go on and on for both sides.

My point is, let's not be like the rude, condescending iOS and Apple users we all know who declare unless Tim Cook took a piss on it, it sucks. Oh I mean, gave his stamp of approval. You get the point. They will go on and on about outdated tropes to prove their superiority.

I like to think those of us who use Android aren't like that. We don't even entertain that kind of BS. They want to come at us with security, privacy, features, build quality, photos, battery life, and on and on about real debatable stuff then great. But just tell me I should avoid Android like the plague unless I want malware...or Google to spy on everything I do and sell it....it gets really, really old.

You have every right to your opinion about iOS and I call Apple out partly because I am in two worlds so to speak. I appreciate your posts. I am not trying to censor you or tell you what you can say. I am just trying to illustrate a point maybe you didn't think about? Winning an argument on merit is so much better than name calling, that's all I am saying.
