I don't think it's the actual iPhone that people are bored of, for me personally it's IOS. I have been an iPhone user since the 3GS, before that I had some crappy phone with a plastic keyboard, it was a phone I needed to use not wanted to use. The iPhone changed all of that, there was no crappy plastic keyboard, the OS was simple and fast to user (faster than anything I had used at that time). The iPhone was the phone I wanted to pick up, it was and still is a joy to use.
I have recently brought the iPhone 15 Pro Max, I like the design, the titanium feels nice in the hand, it's lighter than the 14 Pro Max and the action button is useful for opening the camera (you can set it for other things I just use it for the camera. The camera is a nice upgrade over the 14 Pro Max (that 5x is very good). I don't have a problem with the design of the iPhone, it's IOS that's boring, not the design.
Once you have used a Samsung phone, I admit that I've sent every one of them back to Samsung (with the exception of the S22 Ultra, which I kept until I traded it in for theS 23 Ultra. But once you have had a Samsung phone with OneUI you realise how restrictive IOS is, only recently are Apple now opening up to customisation (the Lock Screen in particular) but it's nothing compared to Samsungs OneUi.
There is so much you can do with a Samsung phone, apps like GoodLock take it even further. Apple still restricts us in so many ways.
All of this kind of leaves us in a purgatory state, I like my Apple products but I want the Samsung customisation, I want that Samsung S-Pen on my iPhone, I want the Goodlock style of customisation on my iPhone. But I still want my iPhone.
