What is multi Windows view and switcher? Some kind of combo?
Sorry, yeah that was a bit convoluted. I meant using Home Up and setting the multi-app view to multiple little tiles on the screen when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. You can see every open app and it's very quick.

I don't think it's the actual iPhone that people are bored of, for me personally it's IOS. I have been an iPhone user since the 3GS, before that I had some crappy phone with a plastic keyboard, it was a phone I needed to use not wanted to use. The iPhone changed all of that, there was no crappy plastic keyboard, the OS was simple and fast to user (faster than anything I had used at that time). The iPhone was the phone I wanted to pick up, it was and still is a joy to use.

I have recently brought the iPhone 15 Pro Max, I like the design, the titanium feels nice in the hand, it's lighter than the 14 Pro Max and the action button is useful for opening the camera (you can set it for other things I just use it for the camera. The camera is a nice upgrade over the 14 Pro Max (that 5x is very good). I don't have a problem with the design of the iPhone, it's IOS that's boring, not the design.

Once you have used a Samsung phone, I admit that I've sent every one of them back to Samsung (with the exception of the S22 Ultra, which I kept until I traded it in for theS 23 Ultra. But once you have had a Samsung phone with OneUI you realise how restrictive IOS is, only recently are Apple now opening up to customisation (the Lock Screen in particular) but it's nothing compared to Samsungs OneUi.
There is so much you can do with a Samsung phone, apps like GoodLock take it even further. Apple still restricts us in so many ways.

All of this kind of leaves us in a purgatory state, I like my Apple products but I want the Samsung customisation, I want that Samsung S-Pen on my iPhone, I want the Goodlock style of customisation on my iPhone. But I still want my iPhone.

That boxy iPhone design accompanied by the ever present camera hump has become super stale and boring since after iPhone X and looks set to continue this year no matter how one might want to defend them.

There isn't much they can do about the design of the phone, it's not like they can make circle phone. I wasn't defending them, I was simply stating my opinion as to why myself and others are bored of iPhone, personally I think it's IOS and not the iPhone itself.

The S24 Ultra has the same design as the S23, which has the same design as the S22, but it's still a great device.

I agree with this. I have nothing against the iPhone hardware design - in fact if I could run Android on the latest iPhone 15 PM then that would be a dream. My boredom is purely with iOS - it feels like I've had the same "phone" for nearly a decade!

I agree 100% with this, if I could have Samsungs OneUI customisation in my iPhone 15 Pro Max that would be the best for me. I want to be able to customise more things, I want to be able to change the icons, have WhatsApp widget on the Home Screen, have an AI generated wallpaper, change settings to my hearts content.

In my opinion it's not the iPhone design that feels old, it's IOS that has been the same for many many years now. There are rumours of a redesigned IOS 18 this year, but realistically are they ever going to give us the same level of customisation as Samsung's OneUI.

same...I would love to run the Pixel or OneUI version of Android on my 15PM with FaceID too :apple:.
Then i would also love to run IOS on my S24 with FaceID and S-Pen.

Just buy an s24 plus. It's basically the iphone with ONEUI software. That's what I have now, and it's too similar to the iphone.

Gonna check the 24U again tomorrow in store, who knows, might be taking one home

If you do decide to get one make sure you thoroughly check out the display.

Some have reported issues (blurry (mura effect) or blue jeans sort of pattern) even after multiple return/replacements. I checked my 24+ side by side with my old phone in various light and dark apps and compared using the testmyscreen.com gradient test on both as well.

I always liked the Ultra more
The Ultra is basically the Note merged into the S lineup. It's a great device tho that has improved over the last few years, it's even better now that it gets the Snapdragon and not Exynos here in the UK and Europe.

yeah I always liked the note so when they merged it into the S lineup I woke up! really cool.

Mind you, if the zfold6 came with an s24u camera system and an spen slot... I may just have to.... ;-)

Haven't really kept up with this thread but adding care+ ( post purchase ) has been a royal PITA!! First, took for-fu**-ever to get their POS ( Care+ diagnostics ) app to capture the pictures.. Then, a day later got an email that they want a 20MB Video showing all sides and IMEI .. WTF! If I had not sent in my 23U trade in, I'd seriously be contemplating returning this just for the crap experience!

Samsung REALLY needs to get their post sales ( heck, even their website, click bait pricing, trade-in theft and denials ) ducks in a row. Like big time!!

With my iPhone and after a month ( not 3 days after getting the damn S24 Ultra ) adding AppleCare+ took a whole 2 minutes! No 'send us pics' or 'need a 20MB video' Bullcrap!

And now, I wait again for them to 'hopefully' activate the Care+

Unfu**believable!

And, its hilarious ( not really ) .. as soon as I paid for Care+ yesterday, the Samsung website showed ( still does ) ' You're now covered with care+'. But, clearly that isn't the case. If someone signed up thru their website and never bothered to check the email from Sevify ( or whatever the F it's called ) and submitted a claim, they'd get denied and wonder what the heck happened!

It is a PITA for sure. Luckily they accepted my photos and that was the end of it. Agree, had I not checked on those extra steps and just relied on the website saying I'm approved, I'd have been SOL. They need to streamline that registration process.

I decided to stop putzing around wasting time setting up a virtual Mac / Hackintosh for BlueBubbles, and wasn't going to spend $90-$150 on a 10 - 15 year old Mac Mini. That's just madness, imo. I had $250 Costco rewards sitting there so I bought the M2 Mini for $275 all said and done. Worth the extra cost and saving a lot of time. Up and running with BlueBubbles in no time, like the added features in the later versions of MacOS which is why I sucked it up and bought the latest. If Apple ever gets around to supporting RCS I will just sell it.

Have both the Buds2 Pro and the Airpods Pro 2nd Gen, and much prefer the Airpods. Noise cancellation and ambient modes are just far ahead on the Airpods in my opinion. Do not like the ambient mode on the Buds2 Pro at all - actually gives me a feeling of nausea after a while of wearing, particularly if nothing playing at all and just have just left them in my ears for a while.

Everyone is different though.
Ive owned both and several updates on thr AirPods Pro wnd gen. I can tell you ambient (especially speaking to enable it) and noise cancelling along worh playback volune is a hell of a LOT better on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro's!

That said the latter seems to sweat in my ears easier and quicker to just fall out on their own. Trying to find a hy rid foam ans silicone ear tips for them (like the XM1000-M2 had yeah those Sony's)

Filing a claim with care + was a absolute nightmare.

My Fold 4 screen broke on its own, and I had to fight like hell to get it fixed. I live in Hawaii, and the Indian call center reps repeatedly told me that I was only covered in the United States, and then hanging up on me.

I had to start sending emails to the CEO to get any motion.

Same is in the US (unlocked on US Mobile T-Mobile 5g MVNO service).

I knocked WB of all three (RGB) down to 2nd from the left and selected middle vividness for a 1st pass.

How's your vividity? (sic)

Yep, woke up this morning with an update ready to download and install.

I have the direct from Samsung unlocked phone using a T-Mobile SIM in the U.S.

Was a very fast download, and fast install. Way quicker than Pixel updated, which seems to just take forever to optimize and install.
