Let me get it right:

At first the PixelSkin HD was an amazing case. Then, they've come up with a new, revised version, which was awful, since the buttons were impossible to press. Now they've come up with a newer revised version, which works perfectly?

Am I correct?

Because I'm about to buy an iPhone 4S and have considered this case.

Yep! I got the newest Pixelskin HD and it's a fantastic case--and I dont even like cases!

it's IMO the most balanced case available.

^That was all iPhone 4 drama, but yes they got that case right.

iPhone 4S case is what I reviewed just above and what I reference in all recent posts.

For those of you with the pixelskin HD. Can you use a back screen film on the back with this case?

A couple post up shows a picture of bubbling around the camera. Is this unique to that single poster, or is everyone having this problem?

I have Power Support Crystal on the front and back with no bubbling.

Based on my experience, the bubbling may be affected by how well the screen is placed. When I originally put the power support film on, I'd get a little bubbling as seen in the photo above. But then, bothered by the fact that I had put the film on a few millimeters off-center, I took it off and re-positioned it perfectly, and now I haven't noticed the bubbling problem anymore. Probably the closer the film is to the edge, the less chance that you'll experience bubbling.

Yeah, I think I put my back film on in a way that was too far from the camera corner edges. Probably why mine bubbled in the pics, although it's down now.

where are you guys ordering these from for the iPhone 4S? How do you know that you're getting the latest revised edition of the case?

1)Ordered from Speck,
2)Big camera cutout hole.

thanks!

Sorry for not reading this whole thread but do any brick-and-mortar stores carry this? I saw walmart had some speck cases but there was a really short annoying girl standing in front of them and she was "...like asking the sales guy like what's like the difference between like the hard cases and like the soft ones"

Like, what is like, the difference like?

That burned even typing.

The local AT&T store here has the PixelSkin HD with the larger cutout for the 4S camera :)

it was pretty bad. I live in a college town and some of those people... I wonder how they make it through college. Not only was her speech very valley-girl (saying like every 3rd word) but she was literally asking the WALMART employee what the difference was between a hard case and a soft case. I don't see a facepalm smiley on this forum but man could I use one right about now.

I'll check our local sprint store and see if they have them in. I wish verizon got them cause at least I get a corporate discount on accessories there...

That great, my pixelskin HD not so good. The plastic ring that goes around the camera cracked. I don't know how it cracked because I never dropped it or anything, but it cracked.

I'm going to try out a SGP Linear Crystal in Satin Silver now for my new 4S.

Did Speck downgrade the materials they use to make these cases within the last year? In early 2012 I got a black pixelskin hd for my 4s. Fit beautifully and felt great in hand.

Then early this year, maybe 15 months after getting that case, the black plastic ring around the camera hole started to crack. I thought ok, it's just a fluke.

So I went out and got a new one from the apple store, and the case felt a little different, more rough to the touch. And I noticed it didn't fit the phone as well. Some of the corners seemed warped. I ended up returning it twice before I got a suitable one, yet it still wasn't as perfect as my original.

Now it's four months after I got the new one, and the plastic camera hole ring cracked again! I contacted Speck and they're sending me a replacement under warranty.

But I'm afraid they'll just send me one with the lower-quality case material.

Anyone else notice this or have the cracked ring problem?
