Zonda ---> crap. Big, bulky, and unnecessary (i.e. Paris parking)
Ford GT ---> Not Practical, unless you're of the Anti-Kyoto Agreement League.
Ferrari ---> Just gorgeous. I even loved the colour...

:)

I'd take that Ford GT any day. Although if I had that kinda money, I would be looking at Aston's too :)

a good episode tonight!

i love those "here is £10,000, go and buy something rubbish clips!"

and the record has gone - impressive!

but next week looks good! the bugatti!

OK so if I sell my flat and beg and borrow a bit more, I might be able to afford that £440k Zonda. Niiiiiiiiiice!

Someone's got me hooked on Top Gear

Sorry about that :p

Get in line for the Zonda though, I'm getting mine first.

not if i beat you!!! that zonda is beautiful!

though i do have to start from minus £9k due to my student loan - bummer.

maybe next week we will be wanting the bugatti instead!

The Zonda is very nice yes, although I would love to see the episode where they hypnotised Hammond, and he thought he was driving a Porsche and Clarkson tboned him in a battery powered jeep. Is the clip anywhere on the internet? Or can anyone forward me a video clip of that to my email?
I would LOVE to see that, unfortunately I was working.

Cheers

didnt jeremy get rid of his within a month or so because it was basically so unreliable?

he doesnt have it any more though i thought?
Yes he still has it. That was his they took to Paris. Note the IOM plates, that's where he lives now, for tax purposes I'll bet. Notice how he's cut the number of shows in a series so he's not in the country long enough to pay tax and how all the features are done in other countries? I believe he's Europe's only millionaire motoring journalist.

according to wikipedia he has a second house in the isle of man so that probably explains it all!

He probably also lives there because of the lack of speed limits on some of the roads there.

I'd take the Megane Sport 225 over all of 'em if I was looking at a 200bhp FWD hatch. ;)

That said, I really hate the handling characteristics of these cars, from lift-off oversteer then the traction kicks back in and the cars just understeer... it's just so... messy.

Ford should grow a spine and revert back to their RWD layout, and leave the FWD sh*t to Vauxdull. hahahahahaha.

Trouble with the Renaults .. very good Engines but their build quality and styling is shocking!!!!!!! i mean uuughhh!!!

He mentioned something about moving to the Isle of Man in one of his Times articles....ah, here it is.

I'd take the Ford GT over the Zonda or F430. I love the shape, and the engine noise is more to my taste than the Zonda's (although the F430's is best). And anyway who cares about fuel economy in a supercar?

I thought Clarkson went rather light on that Ladyman fellow, considering all the stuff he's said before...

James May needs a haircut if he's going to keep driving convertibles.

And I didn't think that Hamster's teeth were that white....unless you are comparing them to Clarkson....

Hopefully last night's episode will be available to me soon.....:D

Yeah, looks like a good episode.

Captain Slow flying a light aircraft vs. Jeremy in the Bugatti. :D

I finally got around to watching last week's episode. Better late than never.

Jeremy always tells the other two that they "bought the wrong car", but for the 10,000 pound supercar competition they all bought the wrong car. Two words: DeTomaso Pantera. And before you say "but it's a hybrid", remember that Jeremy's Maserati had a Citroen engine (all 80hp of it  ).

I guarantee that the Ford V8 in the Pantera would not have broken down and would have spanked the other cars on the track. Might have run out of gas though.;)

I await in suspense for the Bugatti this Sunday.
