If your credit card does not process due to suspected fraud or any other reason you may want to read this.

Email preorder confirmation received at 1:58am central with delivery date of 11/3. Got a text from my credit card company yesterday at 5:17pm of suspected fraud. Replied one to allow the transaction then I called Verizon wireless to have them reprocess the order. They said the only way to rerun the order is to cancel and reorder. I said absolutely not I need to speak to a manager or tier one support. Tier one told me that the only way it is possible is to have the credit card company rerun the transaction. All she can do is cancel and reorder. She took my number and said she would call me back between 7 and 730pm to see what the credit card company would do. Called the credit card company there was no way for them to reprocess the order said I had to contact Verizon and have them rerun the transaction again. At this point I think it is worthless to contact Verizon again for they have already told me they can’t do anything. So I waited until 7:45 for the Verizon rep to call back and she never did. So I decided to contact Verizon one last time just to pretty much tell them how disappointed I was and they would be losing a 21 year customer. Talked to a very nice tier 1 support rep. I was on the phone with her for 45 minutes she was telling me the same thing the previous reps had said. She kept trying and looking at different things. Saying the last thing we need to do is cancel this order. Finally she said let me try one more thing. She put me on hold for the 5th time. Few minutes she came back and said I am going to call over to the Internet order processing department. They were able to rerun my order and even change the credit card used no problem. Payment processed immediately and I was able to keep my November 3 ship date. It took hours but there is a way they can rerun your card without canceling and reordering.

Maybe this will help someone else who has a payment issue.
I also received an email from VZW saying that the credit card charge failed, followed by a text message from AMEX about a fraud alert. I approved the transaction via text message, and a while later VZW re-processed the charge. Now shows as full amount charged, and the order shows as "Processing". I did not have to call anyone.
 
So check this out.

I have 2 cards on file, mine and my dads. Got the charge for everything on my card so that’s fine. I paid off my phone, tax, upgrade fee etc. THEN I get a text saying my dads card had been charged for just the amount of my old device payoff. So I’m like wait what? I call Verizon and that is correct and it looks they double charged us. He and his supervisor have never seen this before. They want me to verify my dads card was actually charged and I’m waiting for him to call me back, then the rep will call me this evening.

I was very clear I’d rather they not touch any of this and refund me after Friday if this will at all affect my order. He is swearing it will not but now super nervous. Why does there always gotta be a snag? ‍♂️
 
Yes! 1 our of 3 orders was shipped. There is no tracking number, but says it estimated to arrive 10/30/17. I can’t believe that estimated deivery!


Yepp people should start seeing this today

Your tracking is listed under the my orders tab when u log into ur account on verizon desktop

I had heard from a rep that orders placed before launch were being voided and added to the back of the queue, because apple needs to free up space for the iUP people who had tech problems at launch time. Sigh. Hopefully won't be more than a month or two.
I doubt this would happen considering I’ve already been charged.. but if this is true I will definitely be switching carriers.
 
I guess I shouldn't expect a shipping email soon since I'm one of the later ones to get a order confirmation email.

App says Pending.

I think I've watched all the hands-on videos on YouTube last night and rewatched the Apple Event also. My oh my, 1st World problems.

Check your Verizon online account. Mine was just shipped with fedex and I got the tracking number. So excited!! :cool::)

What do you think the odds are of us getting them tomorrow like it states there?

Actually just checked the tracking with fedex. And it says it will not be delivered until Friday before three.
 
Mine just shipped also. If you actually track it through fedex it’s being held like normal. But at least it’s finally on its way.
