I keep seeing these posts about their cards being flagged for fraud alert causing them having to call verizon to get it settled.

I use the same debit card to pay my monthly verizon bill that I used to preorder. Do you think I'll be ok?
That’s the card I used. It went through just fine and I have a tracking number

I personally DO think so, it could be a week or more, or it could be a day earlier than expected. Some other people said that in years past, it did happen but their delivery date didn't change until the moment it shipped. In other words, it will come as a surprise when one day it just ships even though it still said "Deliver by Date 11/15/2017" 5 minutes ago. But maybe Verizon will let us know early if our dates get moved up, they got better with other things, so one could hope. And the reason I'm optimistic about being moved up is because wait times even if you order today are STILL less than a month from launch day on the 3rd. People on the Apple forum are having their dates moved up dramatically, although its apple directly it still means they're pumping out phones it seems. We all remember the nightmare that was the iPhone 6 and 6+ launch and how far back people's delivery dates were pushed back compared to the X release right now.


well i hope they do. so this is the predicament im in. i bought a 8 plus silver 256 gb, returned it for a note 8 then returned that for a SG 8 plus 256. some reason im still eligible for an upgrade on my account which i ordered the iphone x on. ive talked to multiple csr and chat agent and they state that my 8 plus is paid off and even when i check my documents and receipts there is no device agreement for the sg 8 plus. so hopefully they didnt catch it and i got 2 upgrades in the span of a month. if so im gonna sell the 8 plus and pay off the X

I wasn't aware there was a spending limit on agreements. Did you get behind at one point?

and i have been with them for 12 years. but they screw me over every year. i had to get rid of unlimited data or i could never upgrade. so i did that, and they bring unlimited data back and i cant even get my educators discount on a unlimited data plan. so i figure they could give 2 ***** about me

you think if there was an error on your account IN THEIR FAVOR they would fix it themselves without you calling in? nope they would not. they would just keep on charging you until you said something

Hahahaha nope. Let me tell you a story. I once got accidentally shipped 2 iPhone 6S’s instead of one. I called them but they denied I got two. I went to a store but they denied it’s theirs. I tried so hard for them to realize their mistake and they refused to take it back. I made them make notes on my account. Managers promised to call me back. Nothing. I keep the second in it’s packaging and two months later I decide; ok, I’m using this phone. I activate a line and manually add the phone to it. Not one month later I get an email telling me the error and telling me they did the honors and started charging me for it. Wow. At that point I didn’t care I just settled down and let my friend keep the phone and service I got for him.


On a good note my SG 256GB went from pending to processing and my card got dinged. No shipping yet! Very excited.

Mine is being shipped via FedEx. Online it does not show a Hold For Pickup option. Does anyone know how strict Fedex will be about this if I call them and request a hold?

Also, a rep on Verizon chat said he could not change the shipping address due to the high volume of Iphone X's in transit. He suggested I contact their Orders department via Phone. Again, any idea how strict they are about this?

I won't be home Friday in time for delivery so I'm trying to explore one of the options above to receive my phone Friday. Any advice?

If there was a problem with my account that I noticed, I would contact them and seek to have it rectified. And if they won't fix the problem of their own doing, I would seek to be made whole or find another business. I would not abuse and cheat a company that I had complained had done the same to me year after year. That is wrong and you know it. That is distorted dysfunctional thinking. You should be too ashamed to brag about being a cheat. I doubt you would put up with such from kids in education. And here you are laughing about it. Pathetic.

thats what im trying to explain. i had no clue that this would happen. ive called and asked were they sure because i just upgraded. they should know because the 8 plus is brand new. if they catch it then they catch it if not then how is that my fault
