My order (not charged yet) shows no upgrade fee (never eeceived one) and a cost of $66.12 due at shipping
Got an email at 9pm tonite stating that card was denied with a link to update payment info. Called bank to make sure payment would go through if charged again, then used link in email to make payment and got following message:
Your payment has been successfully processed.
An email will be sent to ________when your order has shipped.
Your order number: __________
Amount paid: $_____
Print receipt
Questions about your order?
Call 866.338.7390
Then proceeded to call Verizon who stated that I had not lost my place in line and because payment was made within hours, i should be good for 11/3. Can anyone else with same charging problem let me know if yo did anything differently to keep 11/3 delivery. thanks in advance.

Just posted my experience below before seeing this, same issue. Verizon rep swears we should be good for 11/3. Mine was wells fargo. I guess banks are just extra vigilant at this time
256 silver charge was about 113.00 , taxes, 32.00 for pmt on prev phone to get to the 50% paid off amt.
am i being paranoid or what, anybody not seeing the full shipping address on the confirmation email? i just got charged and realized the address on both Bill To and Ship To were cut off differently. Like showing AV on Bill To and AVE on Ship To.

Mine was charged around 9pm yesterday and was shipped early AM this morning.
Ordered approximately at 12:03 AM (PST) Confirmation Received at 12:27 AM (PST) on 10/27.

i didnt get upgrade fee charged, i dont think so, but i got CA local sales tax ($34.50) and CA state sales tax ($69) charged(CA resident)
I noticed the NW is cut off my address but it was also cut off on my wife’s 8+ and she got it...no problem.
For some reason I was only charged $32.30 when my 256gb x shipped. $30 upgrade fee and $2.30 in taxes. Shipping to CO. Seems everyone else was charged around$100. Anyone else with lower charge like me?

Nope, just yours. If you go back through this thread, everyone else has reported that their phones have already left the FedEx facility, and most are actually out for deliver already.
Looks like my CC was just charged. Though I have a scheduled shipment of 11/10, will I get mines early? Hmmmmmmm 
Err I'd wait for more data before making this claim. 99% of people are not getting their orders early. Those who do are supremely lucky and it happens once in a while due to supply chain mishaps. The people who are posting in this thread are not representative of the majority of consumers.
Needless to say: if your order says 11/3 delivery date, barring any kind of weird mishap you are going to get your phone on 11/3 period. Even if you don't get charged and a tracking number until Thu night.

Wanted to make it clear to anyone else coming from Google who was worried.
Call CS and tell them you'd like your activation fee credited. Several of us have done this.
What explanation do you give? I personally don't even plan to activate it on Verizon's network so I have no idea why I have to pay this fee.
Apple is not perfect, but it has always done a good job with accessibility features. Kudos.
My iPhone was shipped Sunday overnight but with a hold for delivery for 11/3. It’s been sitting in Memphis since then,is anyone else’s shipment still in Memphis?
They were advertising no activation fees if ordered through Verizon. I mentioned that. I wouldn’t tell them you’re not activating it on their network.
