Has anyone who had their shipping address changed by Verizon / FedEx actually seen their new address show on the tracking page? I’ve had it confirmed to me twice that the request was sent, processed, and accepted.

But my package left Memphis at 4:03pm eastern and should have been heading to Orlando. No arrival yet, which makes me think it’s on a truck from TN to NC (the original address). Meanwhile, my fiancée’s iPhone left Memphis and already arrived in Orlando.

From what I’ve been told it has to go to its original destination sort facility and once it is scanned it will say it’s supposed to go to a different location. They will put a new label and ship it off. So it probably will be delayed till Monday or Tuesday unfortunately.

When I called back last night, they claim they don't have a thing called "jump the line". I'm just planning on standing in the line at Verizon at 5am. I'm little upset about this, but I'll fight for a little account credit if they do screw it up.

My understanding is that it's just on a different plane. Like if your phone and fiancé is going to the same place. I think they will both end up there at the same time. Hers might be at the Orlando facility earlier, but it'll wait for yours to get there. Then go out for delivery

I changed my address from TN to SoFL. It still hasn't "changed" on the tracking info. But I called Fed Ex and the new address has been confirmed. I have a friend who has a phone out at a Ft Lauderdale location, but mine is on the way to Memphis from Newark. I'm convinced mine is just a little behind. It'll go out from Memphis to FTL or West Palm soon after and I'll get it tomorrow. Have some faith!

I don't think that's true? I wasn't told that, I was told that mine should still be same day delivery as original one.

For instance. My original address was TN and new address change is FL.

My phone is en route to Memphis TN (big hub) from Newark now. My room mate also in FL has his phone on the same flight, so it's not going out too far anywhere. So unless someone changes address absolute last minute (like day of arrival hours before). I don't see it being an issue

Live in Central, FL and mine is already in Orlando as well. Didn't have an address change though. Hope you get yours on time!

This is what I’ve been told too. The Verizon rep I spoke to got FedEx on the phone and merged the calls. The FedEx rep said they have the new address and “have already placed a new label on the package.” They all but guaranteed I would have it. But, they didn’t necessarily say without a delay, hah. I was not told that it had to go to the original sort destination first.

Mine doesn't. I have my fed ex and it has original address not updated one. But I called Fed Ex. They said address hasn't changed. I pushed more and said Verizon told me that it wouldn't be "updated" till it is in motion, the Fed Ex rep looked again and said new address is confirmed and they have it. So should be updated on the app tonight or in the AM

Everyone is so worried. My phone is 3 states away and it’s 11EST. It’ll come.

We go thru this yearly. Always ends up here on launch day regardless of what part of the country it is the evening prior.

R. E. L. A. X.

Have a beer or glass of wine....goto bed. It’ll come.

Nothing still has changed on my page. Starting to think it’s on a truck also, and not a plane, then going to take till next week to get to my correct location.

It seems like a logical conclusion. But I’ve also had a phone delivered on launch day that was still stuck on Processing online. It’s a crap shoot. If I don’t get my phone tomorrow, I’ll be fine. But it’s just frustrating because it seems like nothing is truly definitive. So many mixed statements from Verizon / FedEx. I can understand either being able to, or not being able to, change the shipping address. But it seems like each rep tells a slightly different story.

Verizon could fix this if they would allow you to specify a shipping address per phone, or at least store a “home” address for each line, instead of always defaulting to the main account address. Most people who need to change their shipping address need to because Verizon doesn’t give us the basic functionality to specify the address on checkout.

Got confirmation from my FedEx sales rep at work that yes, it has to go to the original destination facility before they put the new label on and send it to the new one which usually adds a business day to delivery. I’ve been shipping perishable products via FedEx for years and this was always the case when chasing mid-routed packages. Address changes added an extra day. But usually that was when it had to go to a different facility. I’m sure there are always exceptions but that is the general rule.

In my case the address change was because they didn’t allow me to change it at checkout. Verizon told me this was “a known bug they were working on”. When I got tracking they made the address change and I confirmed it with FedEx. Both Verizon and FedEx said it wouldn’t delay delivery because it is the same destination facility. Plus my sales rep sent them an email to make sure they do the change and get it out for delivery tomorrow. A guy at work also talked to the delivery driver who said it shouldn’t be an issue. He said they have over 300 packages with iPhones for delivery tomorrow. I’m still not holding my breath though as you just never know.

Sorry for the long post. Just sharing my story. Hoping for the best, expecting to have to wait until Monday.

I’m thinking mine is the same destination location as well so hopefully that bodes well. I’ve heard so many mixed claims of different days and locations I’ll receive it.
