Right!! Lol! I’m the one that was up at 2am ordering it and tracking and anxious lol! Almost time!!!
Then I truly appreciate it. Pardon my initial skepticism. It's now 5:15 local time and nada. I just don't understand how my shipped last weekend and has been sitting in Memphis all week and they're having issues on the final (and most important) step. Such is life.
For those who are considering getting a wireless charger, I highly recommend. I have had my new phone on the Mophie charger, and it has charged 20% in as many minutes. I went ahead an ordered a second one a few minutes ago, so I can have one for the bedroom. I think the Apple store is going to sell out quick, once people get their phones on the west coast.

I wonder how long it will take Verizon to process the canceled orders from the people who got their devices in store and move up those of us with later dates?

so you are on the western side of the US I am guessing? Have you called to inquire to FedEx? Were you supposed to get delivery today?
Haven't called yet. I'm about to. And yea, scheduled for today. It was scanned in Phoenix, AZ 24 hours ago around 4 PM. And today, it was rescanned in Phoenix, AZ again around 4 PM. Not sure why there wasn't any movement whatsoever, but I'm not in the business of logistics.
Yea, I had it delivered to my workplace. An Express truck AND a Ground truck have both come today. I'm gonna wait it out for 2 more hours here then head home. I'll have a couple not so kind words for FedEx and/or Verizon then move on. Haha.

I had pre-ordered with Best Buy and got an 11/10 pickup date which I was fine with since I ordered at 6pm on 10/27. I got off work at 5pm CST today and called my Verizon store fully expecting them to laugh and tell me they sold out, but I was shocked because I was told they had two left but couldn't tell me what kind lol. Got there 5 minutes later, and they had the exact model I wanted. Super happy. In fact, the person who walked in behind me wanted the same thing but had to go with black since that was the last one left. Perfect timing. 
They're already going quick on Amazon. I settled for a generic $12 version which will probably be broken in a month or not work out of the box and be returned for a name brand version in a few weeks.

I'm the same way, but not knocking the SG. I was in such a frantic hurry at X:00AM preordering it I was just hitting random buttons. I even clicked on the wrong saved credit card on my Mac that night.
The black is gorgeous though - Looks just like a black shiny slab of marble sitting in front of me on my desk. Not complaining.
Did you do an address change? That could be why it is delayed and you'd probably see it Monday. I just had hoped everyone that was expecting to get theirs today would actually get them.
Well like most people I think this phone is awesome. I was worried about the size coming from the 7/8 plus but it honestly feels perfect. My kids are having a blast with the Animoji (as am I lol). After a few attempts trying to hit the hole button I’m settled lol
No clue what “notch gate” is but it doesn’t bother me at all. Doesn’t affect the screen during normal usage or movies.

The notch is tiny, really. I don't get the big fuss. I get that it's not perfect, but I'm not bothered by it.
I’ve never done anything with sims but I got it activated. I didn’t shut off my “find my iPhone” so it couldn’t activate. It’s all working now! Yay!
That is odd re: turning off Find my phone. When I turned on the new phone, I put my iPhone 7 plus (which was still on) and it started the setup and activation process.

You guys, I've decided, I'm going no case on this one. I also did no case with my Jet Black 7 Plus because of the different color and I couldn't get over it....same with this one. The stainless steel surrounding the beautiful glass on the back, there's no way I can cover that beauty with a case!! Here's to no dropping (knock on wood)
