I really want to switch over from film to digital. The shutter on my nikkormat ftn is stuck open and I'm considering selling it off with all my glass to pay for the D60 and the 18-55. I've found a couple sellers locally too, so maybe in the next few weeks I'll have a new camera!

You can, she's in a thread somewhere on the forum in one of the car threads. You can search my posts to find it if you're that interested. Not sure what your point is, the thread was about things you want, I was pointing out that you can always do better.

I currently have a Canon Vixia HF200. I seem to get a dud of everything, because this has been a real piece. Right now this is what I want:

EDIT: I think I might go for the much cheaper D40 with the 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED AF-S DX with the HB-34 Hood (in addition to the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX kit lense). Combined with a flash, the infrared remote and a handfull of filters I think I'd be happy.
I think my Nikkormat might just have the mirror lockup engaged, but it's been so long since I played with it I can't remember if I checked that or not. I'd hate to see it go, but if it goes to a good home and I replace it immediately with a new DSLR I'll be able to mediate the grief.
Is this the one with 12 megapixels ?...I'm thinking of buying this baby as well.
I think that's the sd780is.. the sd1400is is 14 megapixels, has 4x wide angle zoom and a slightly bigger screen. They're very similar.
