Well I wouldn't mind a house in Europe somewhere, Australia has been pretty boring all my life

Never been a fan of Alembics (John Entwistle's customs are an exception though). For the money I'd have to go for some Wal Basses.

Yes, I agree! Wal basses are outstanding! When I think of a beautiful Wal tone I think of Flea on Blood Sugar Sex Magik, it sounds amazing.

What are the stats on this beautiful instrument? The top is beautiful and I like the sounds of cedar, spruce, and mahogany, but what wood is this?
The tight, tinny sound of maple or koa don't do it for me (for tops). The only hard top with that type of density which sounds woody and rich is the ultra expensive carbon fiber as found on Ovation Adamas guitars in the $3000 dollar and up price range. Otherwise, I like a good soft/medium wood for a top like spruce which captures those elusive mids, highs, and lows both close up and at a distance.
