More than likely not since Apple uses samsung/lg displays.. Hopefully they just at least go back to the 11 pro frequencies. I personally didn’t have problems with those displays. The 12s were the first displays that I encountered this issue.
Anyone know if we will get the frequency before preorders start for the 13 or do we have to wait for people to get them in hand..
Wait fot notebookcheck review, literally only web i know thah cares about pwm…
I wonder why it is no issue, asked several YTers abour pwm with no reflection (sure they do not read all messages from unknown people)…

Since iPhone X, despite of millions of consumers' complaints globally while some are even unaware of the damage to their eyes caused by Apple's OLED technology, Apple continue to change all product lines to OLED since iPhone 11.

The worst is all other players are closely following Apple's move, changing from LCD to OLED gradually too, mobile, pad or TV...

There are many good ways of protecting and saving millions and millions of eyes existing today: such as 1) keep one LCD line at least 2) provide additional anti-flicker and reducing eye strains option 3) providing >1000 Hz OLED tech etc. However, to reap more profit and drive stock price with bigger sales, Apple never consider any of the healthy alternative solutions.

We are a group of citizens and users who have been suffered by Apple's OLED screen for years, and our children will have the similar damage sooner or later as Apple is driving this tech trend globally. We should stand up instead of hiding, voice out instead of being silent lamb, take legal action instead of paying our money for damaging our eyes and our children's health year on year.

I know this may sound crazy, but I just feel we can not do nothing...and we should not be left behind.

This thread gives me more of a headache than PWM. I’ve had my XS Max for 3 years and no issues with my health from the phone.

If PWM bothered me, I’d just buy a different phone. And to avoid headaches, I’ll stop reading this thread.

It does but people threatening to sue (and using up peoples time and energy in the process) is just ridiculous. If you’re invested in the ecosystem get a SE2020. Or is the problem that you want a flagship and none have LCD. That is an entirely different discussion from “apple hasn’t provided any options with LCD”. I agree you need to let them know you would prefer a LCD display but complaining into the ether or threatening to sue doesn’t do anything. If anything it reduces your credibility

It's your time you're wasting.

I was referring to the people in our legal system but point taken. I’ll refrain from further comment and let Orange23 continue to insinuate that Apple owes them something because they didn’t get their way.

Who said I was complaining? I did not complain once. Frankly, I am simply astounded this is an issue of this sort of magnitude.

But you knew that.
What 'astounds' you so much ?
If you are affected by this problem, why are you 'astounded' by the seriousness of it?
If you are not affected then why are you wasting your time posting here, saying stuff like 'Sweet Jesus 600 pages bla bla'...if you actually read up on the issue you would be fully aware of the problem and wouldn't need to be so astounded.

For people who are affected it can be very upsetting to find their shiny expensive new Apple device makes them feel sick and nauseous. It also means something to try and figure out WHY it is happening and find a resolution - People on here choose Apple because they like the products or are invested in the ecosystem.

And to all those that are not affected by this serious problem, pointing fun or saying something stupid like 'go buy an Android then' - you are helping nobody and irritating many others.
Take your weird trolling somewhere else.

Well said! Best post of 2021!

For me, since 2007 till now, I invested 20+ iPhones, ~20 iPads, 5 macbook (air, pro), 6 iPods (2 touch), 4 iWatch, 4 airpods (pro), 4 Apple TV, many accessories, and tons of purchased App/music/Game/book/icloud for myself, my parents and family...

Yeah, it certainly sucks for those of us that are affected. Personally, I can’t even use the iPads or Macs anymore due to flicker, it’s a serious issue for us. What’s to be astounded about?

The best defense is not to attack. Better to share the situation and explain the issues. And for those that still don't care or are not affected - let them move along otherwise the thread falls apart.

I mentioned this in the other iPhone eye strain thread, but I'm very curious what the "New display engine" in the A15 is. I'm cautiously optimistic that it may help with our issue :)

I honestly think the brightness symbol is a nod to PWM. This would also mean that iPhone 13 would feature improvements and not just iPhone 13 Pro models with their LTPO OLED’s, although those are the best best for anyone who suffers from sensitivity.
