I swear people here don't know the logistics it takes to mass produce, ship, coordinate a launch like this. Making millions of anything and moving it across the world to 9 countries isn't easy.

If we're going to be honest, the problem isn't anything to do with Retail, or the online stores, it has to do with the fact that they launched with 38 different models, in 9 different countries. This is a logistics nightmare no matter what company you are.

I agree with this quote. I don't think Angela really had much say in this. I think this more of an unknown and logistical problem.

I would have liked some stock sent to stores, but I get why Apple didn't with this launch. How you you send 38 different models to 439 stores with no statical data with what demand is going to be?

I think Angela and the other executives at Apple are doing a fabulous job!

Apparently Treebs can do it no problem at all.

Dr Dre is a joke? I dislike Beats as much as anyone but there is no denying their marketability. Referring to his posse as "thug" just screams of racism. Hey you're not racist though you mentioned Katy Perry right? Grow the hell up because there are a lot more important issues then a delay in a watch.

How about let's not call each other racists?

That word actually has meaning. That meaning is diluted when it's used so casually.

You're calling a total stranger a racist based on that line? Wow.
You know I think exact same thing as the other poster. I may or may not say anything depending upon my mood that day. If you are going to get mad at one person calling a stranger a racist because they said racist things, then surely you must be mad at the OP for singing out Dr Dre and Angela people who he knows nothing about.

Out of all the Apple employees, you single out Dr Dre as the one with a 'thug posse'. Racist much?

Lol lets be real, no one at Apple besides Dre is rolling around with a thug posse.

Cook? Nope
Ive? Nope
Schiller? lol
Ahrendts? Does she even know who Dre is
Iovine? Maybe

They would save themselves the logistics nightmare by eliminating the 38 models and selling them with either white or black bands. Then customers can purchase the other bands separately. I'm sure they will have lots of returns because people preordered bands and watch sizes that they haven't tried on. If they had try on sessions 1-2 weeks before launch it would make things much easier.

I don't know about you guys but I preordered blindly and ended up changing my mind after trying them on in the store.

You must be a big shareholder, right? Otherwise you have no voice on these issues. Either buy the product or move on.

I am. I think he post is stupid and therefore I call his intelligence into question as well. We agree.

Having a little in stock at stores all around the world would have been the biggest nightmare and caused more harm than good.

We all know Demand >>>>> Supply so don't waste your time in line for nothing. Seem logical to me.

And I agree... give the women a raise. This watch is turning out to be bigger than most anticipated.

I'm sure the title of this thread is a bit extreme but hear my reasoning prior to casting judgement. What makes Apple different than any other tech company? Loyalty! Customers actually looked forward to product launches and waiting in line for a chance to be an early adopter. This product launch is a complete joke! So yes I woke up about Ten minutes late and have to wait until 5/13-5/27. That is not the primary reason I'm upset. I don't like that Katy Perry, Pharell, Drake, Beyoncé are all running around with a watch. Steve Jobs would have fired whoever gave the product out prior to the actual release. That is terrible advertising anyway. I guarantee that I ( the loyal Apple customer) have spent more on Apple products than any of the people named above. I'm sure Dr Dre is out running around giving out the watch to these people while being escorted by his thug posse. What a Joke having that guy as an executive anyway. This company's appearance is changing in a bad way. There are so many ways this product launch are a terrible future for Apple. Apple wouldn't be what it is today without its retail partners and it's pretty obvious that they are cutting them all out of the profit by only selling it on the Apple Store online. I'm venting because they obviously released the watch the same day as the Samsung s6 just to try and sway a few but not because they were ready to launch.

THERE YOU GO :)

Ah so you are pissed that you can't get one in the time frame you wanted one because of your own fault, and you are calling for a company to fire an incredibly qualified employee?

Ah the Internet!

I could not agree more.

Maybe you should take five minutes to learn what her job description is before you blame her for every decision made by anyone at Apple... like Jeff Williams (operations), or Phil Schiller (Marketing), for example. I'm so sick of people playing the blame game on this. You look ignorant!
