Any small amount in the Apple stores would just be picked up by the scalpers anyway.

Online only is a great move!!

She is cozy with her employers. You are free to shop for other vendors products if you dont like her. You dont have to deal with her. She doesnt answer to you.

she doesn't answer to shareholder (which I am) and customers (also me)??

Maybe I should write to my business school now and ask for a refund for all my management courses I took

I'm sure the title of this thread is a bit extreme but hear my reasoning prior to casting judgement.

This is hilarious.

No. She answers to Tim Cook.

Maybe so.

She doesn't answer to any of us unless we, as shareholders, collectively replace the entire board and the board fires her. On top of that, none of us here is an institutional investor, which each hold massive amounts of proxies, so we'd have no chance in hell of replacing the board. Since you have a business degree, I would think you'd know that.

You are basing this one one very large assumption... that the majority or supermajority of Apple customers hate her. I think that's completely wrong, and the board isn't going to go along with it regardless of how many people blame her for stupid things that aren't her responsibility so long as she is doing the job they actually hired her for, which is overseeing the retail stores and website. If she's fulfilling her obligations and maximizing profits for the shareholders, whether or not you personally agree with her decisions, she's not going to be fired by the board.

P.S. Frankly, she probably has an employment agreement that has a term and quantifiable objectives she has to meet which are NEVER based on how many people on forums complain about her.

She answers to Tim Cook as he is the one who hired her. In business school you know that you are only one of many other shareholders and are free to sell your shares at anytime or stop purchasing Apple products at your liesure if it bothers you that Angela is not responding to the rediculous demands of people outside who dont work at Apple.

Sounds like someone needs to go back to business school.

Nothing to get over. Mine has prepared for shipment and my CC has been charged. I may well receive mine on Friday.

I'm just saying, IMHO, that there was a much better way of rolling out an online-only launch.

No there wasnt. Im sure Apple considered all things and online only was the most appropriate thing to do for such a limited supply...which wouldve had many people camping overnight only to walk away with nothing because scalpers purchased all of the stock of Apple Watches.

Yeah, well, it has been a while. I've been practicing corporate law (you know, where I advise corporate clients on how board of directors and shareholders work and work on multi-million dollar M&A transactions, as well as draft employment agreements) for a while now. Maybe I am rusty.

No there wasnt. Apple put the watches online for sale and the site didnt go down even as they sold out of watches within minutes. They sent me emails encouraging me to favorite the watches I wanted a month ago to ensure that I can get the one I want when preorders become available. Its not Apple's fault people didnt take advantage of the various opportunities Apple provided for them.

I'm sure the title of this thread is a bit extreme but hear my reasoning prior to casting judgement. What makes Apple different than any other tech company? Loyalty! Customers actually looked forward to product launches and waiting in line for a chance to be an early adopter. This product launch is a complete joke! So yes I woke up about Ten minutes late and have to wait until 5/13-5/27. That is not the primary reason I'm upset. I don't like that Katy Perry, Pharell, Drake, Beyoncé are all running around with a watch. Steve Jobs would have fired whoever gave the product out prior to the actual release. That is terrible advertising anyway. I guarantee that I ( the loyal Apple customer) have spent more on Apple products than any of the people named above. I'm sure Dr Dre is out running around giving out the watch to these people while being escorted by his thug posse. What a Joke having that guy as an executive anyway. This company's appearance is changing in a bad way. There are so many ways this product launch are a terrible future for Apple. Apple wouldn't be what it is today without its retail partners and it's pretty obvious that they are cutting them all out of the profit by only selling it on the Apple Store online. I'm venting because they obviously released the watch the same day as the Samsung s6 just to try and sway a few but not because they were ready to launch.

I'm pretty sure Steve Jobs gave Barak Obama the 1st gen iPhone before it was released when he was just a Senator. So, it's possible if Steve was still alive the same thing would be happening; celebrities getting Apple Watches.

There are so many reasons not to take you seriously or many of the other whiners either. However the fact that you haven't been back to your own thread just proves how ridiculous your comments are.

OH LOL! So sorry. I just got worked up! :D It's rare I get to use my law skills on a tech forum.;)

I figured it might be unclear when I posted it. I anticipated that you may/may not have thought my post was directed at you. :D;)

In another thread someone said Angela responded to an email with Let them eat cake.

You're mistaken. He showed it to him.

Jobs specifically declined A-listers requests for early access. Shaq with the first iPhone is an example.

I'm not saying which is better. They're just different.

So many things sad with your statements above.

Please tell me that you're a 14 year old boy trying to make it through adolescence. If not, then your lack of understanding on how a company sells products shows that it's not something you'd be capable of. Nothing wrong with that, but please educate yourself before you make a case for firing someone.

... She'll probably continue to get paid.

No amount of forum comments is ever going to get her fired. You know what probably would have gotten her fired? If the watch didn't meet any expectations in sales. But guess what?

But that could be blamed on the product category or Tim Cook for spending so much time on it.
