Taking a look at the screenshots here: http://9to5mac.com/2016/06/13/new-ios-10-music-app-design/

Overall I'm liking it. My two, but major, complaints are the bold fonts and the new now playing screen (I much prefer the current screen). Fix those and I'll be happy

What do you guys think?
[doublepost=1465878621][/doublepost]A major omission from this app is something similar to Google Music's "I'm feeling lucky", where it randomly plays recommend music. I discovered a lot of new music with that, and it would be nice to have Apple adopt the same. I don't always want to pick something specific to listen to.

I'm just really, really happy that the app opens up to the Library tab now. And yes- it's really interesting that we go from super thin fonts to triple bold fonts between iOS 7 and iOS 10.

i don't know if i'm blind or something, but i cannot find the Shuffle All Music function. that ***** me. and the new fonts, giant and bold, well i wish i had more hands so i could give them four thumbs down.

There are only "Shuffle All" buttons within individual albums and playlists. You can't do it with your entire library or for a single artist. It's really irritating as I regularly shuffle my entire library or an artist's full discography.

I love the new now playing screen it's my favorite part of the redesign however I find that some texts are too big, it's wasted space.

I'm just happy that I have the choice to remove it. I am going to give it a chance though. It's just very, very, very optimized for Apple Music.

That new control center widget is great though, so is the today widget.

Sadly it's white all the time. The colours will be missed. Was one of my favourite things about iOS 8.4 - 9.3.3 Music app.

It really was a nice, dynamic way of viewing your library. And IIRC, it actually dates back to iOS 7 and maybe even iTunes before that? Will be sad to see it go if it goes across the board.

Edit: it is gone across the board. All white in iTunes 12.5 as well. :(

I like the bolder fonts. Or at least, it seems more in line with the rest of the Apple Music branding, which works for me.

Same opinion on the nerfing of For You. One of my favorite features, and that dates back to when it was Beats Music. My only complaint is that I've been seeing some of the same playlists SINCE IT WAS BEATS MUSIC. So hopefully this will change with the new UX to include more frequently updated/rotating playlists you can save to your library if you like.

I have yet to see the Discovery Mix pop up. I was hoping they would snag this feature from Spotify, as its currently the only thing I like in Spotify that I can't get from AM. Can't wait to start seeing these pop up and hope it is competitive with how great Spotify's on the fly playlists are.

At least now playing no longer covers the status bar. But what's that little grey bar just below the status bar above now playing?

It's a visual indicator that the main Music App is behind the Now Playing window, from what I can tell. Now Playing is essentially a big widget overlay now.

The player view is more or less a card now and what you are seeing is the edge of the Music app "card" behind the player "card".

Personally I like it. It's a step at bringing more depth back from all this flatness we've had everywhere (not just apple)

Fonts are too big. That's really my only criticism.

I really like the new music app... My only complaint is that all the text seems really big... It's in like old people mode or something.
My dad will love it. He has the font size on the highest setting.

The artwork shouldnt bounce back when you pause the track.
Fonts are so big it's making short album titles do that ugly scrolling effect across the screen. Bad use of screen real estate, and big fonts just make the phone look cheap.

The new iOS 10 music app will no doubt see many tweaks throughout the next 3-4 months just like it saw some quite a few tweaks during the redesign in 8.4 beta and some more throughout iOS 9 life cycle.

So no sense hating on it quite yet. It's very obvious it's in really early stages and not even close to complete.
I'm not crazy about the larger font but I do like that the controls are bigger. They're way too small in the current app.

I think that the new music app is good overall. The fonts look pretty great in iTunes, but I agree they're a little too overbearing on mobile devices. I think the solution is not changing the font, but just reducing the size of the lettering.

I'm LOVING the big buttons. I think they look great on the 6s, but I can also see them being a problem on smaller screen devices.

If they just reduced all the font sizes, I'd have no issue.

Haven't worked out yet how to rate songs... The pop up (three dots) has options for Love and Dislike, but don't see how to get the stars for those of us who, like a more granular rating...
