Do you think it’s time for Tim Cook to move on? He’s a #’s guy not a Visionary

Oh yah, Tim Cook has taken Apple to the most successful company in history. So terrible. Apple silicon - so lacking in imagination, I mean the first Mac chip was only faster than some i9s - so lacking in vision. You can tell by the lackluster market share, decline in Mac market share.

seriously, what is this a personal vendetta?

I have not had any QC problems with Apple Products. I have iPhones, iPads, iPods, Mac minis, MacBook Airs and currently seven MacBook Pros. I probably take much better care of my electronic devices than most people. I'm also careful to research products before buying them.

Why would you put an iPad into a situation where there is the possibility of it bending?

If you don't like Apple products, don't buy them.
I feel in Love with Apple since 2006 and it’s just not the same no more.

$$$ and some rich board members don’t = success to me. We aren’t the Same. $$ don’t move me.

I agree. So Question who you think ran the Company better Tim or Steve?

I didn't start following the company closely until Tim ran it. He's a better manager. Steve is an innovator.

The company reminds me of Oracle and Larry Ellison. Larry Ellison has always been the CTO whether or not he had the title and others managed a lot of the day to day. I think that that would have been a better formula for Apple in the earlier years. I do recall Apple products having more problems before around 2008 with quality improving after that. But that may have been due to the improving science of QC.

QC has been going downhill. iPad airs iPads and even phones that bend. And when I took my iPad Air 4th Gen back that was a headache. UnderTim Cook when I product has a issues Apple waits month until they get lawsuits and millions of complaints to take action
What is really a shame is that given all that, they are still better than everyone else. Oh and that bendy phone you threw in, debunked by consumer reports who actually measured bending pressures. Never mistake social influencers with facts

I didn’t say he was Terrible I said his time is up. Let someone new in. New ideas. New ways of thinking. Like the always say New $$ is better than old $$. New Women is better than the same old boring lady who no longer has any new dreams or desires

Tell that to the people folding and flipping their Samsung phones (as well as writing notes with a digital pen).

Well I for one don’t want a smartphone that folds. Just another point of failure.

And as for notes, why write it with a pen when my watch will dictate?

I do think the 12 and 13 are quite boring. Yes the camera specs are great but Apple brought back that old Volvo boxy look.

I've driving Toyotas since 2000. They are incredibly boring. That's a good thing with cars.

For billions of people around the world Apple is seen as 'prestige', meaning if you happen to own a piece of Apple modern equipment you are seen as somebody who is worth knowing. People need to remember that outside of the US and Europe where Apple products are very common place, Apple products are a status symbol, a highly prized item if one happens to own an Apple product.

As long as the 'prestige','status' and 'highly prized' tags exist, Apple products will always be indemand, regardless of how much lacking they are in inovasion and upto date hardware.
I’m coming from being in Love with Apple since 2006 not a Fan. So it hurts it really hurts to see my baby go downhill. For my baby to get stagnant. For my people to get $$ Hungry and not stick to its Principles.

It’s not yours… if it was it wouldn’t be a trillion dollar company.

The issue isn't the slowing of innovation, it's the stagnation of Apple's products. The new iPhones aren't discernably different from the model before it. More importantly, they fail to even integrate innovations that have been around for years now: under-display (or even power button) fingerprint sensors, always-on displays (a software feature!), lack of a huge notch etc.

And while we're talking about the notch...that symbolises Apple's stagnation more than anything. That abomination has now been there for 4 years and 6 iPhone iterations (X, XS, XR, 11, 12, 13). This year, they've slightly shortened the width while making it taller - and adding nothing to the notification area. Jobs must be spinning.
Yeah, it’s also very sad that the angle of view is unchanged since they first introduced it in 2017, The touch ID with iPhone 6s received a major upgrade after two years. Still impossible to use it close to the face or on the table

If Apple released a foldable phone, I'd never buy it. I don't think that's innovation, it's a gimmick. So I hope that when they do, they still keep the non-foldable ones.

The notch isn't an issue at all either.

I think the best iPhone innovation for a long time is cinematic mode. I've been saying 5 years ago "someday someone will do something like this". Apple did it first in a phone.

$$ don’t move me. Making the best products do. I wouldn’t even put out a product with my name attached to it if it wasn’t legendary. I would do a two year or year & half release cycle. Other than that just new colors. It was Steve Jobs mindset & mentality that attracted me to Apple. Along with his visionary & great products that followed. It wasn’t just a trend like for the masses of sheep.

Bring it to the store and return it. I have had stellar service from my local Apple Store.
Even that has changed in the Steve Jobs era I would break my phone on purpose just to get a Fresh New one lol Tim’s Apple has all sorts of tools now. They make you pay lol

Totally agree about the foldable phones. It’s cool it bends but what’s the point?

There’s a reason Tim Cook just had a $750M bonus paid out and we’re here on a message board arguing over whether he’s cut out for the job.

Lol. Great point however I’m an Aries & tend to move on & away from the same old thing. Excite me baby

Sometimes taking a step away from something can help me appreciate that thing a bit more when I get back to it. Maybe that works for you too.

Yeah the notch has never been an issue for me. But question you believe the cinematic mode is the best new feature in years?? Wow that’s something new. I would of been more excited for it if I wasn’t into The Sony a7 series. I just think these cellphones companies should make a their own dedicated cameras instead of putting half or also gimmick software camera tec into cellphones.
