3. nothing... that's it. Pretty much just the big doodle jump, and gazing in wonderment...

1. 3G, 3G, 3G... not a big cell phone user so never got an iPhone. Now internet everywhere. Wahoo!

2. Reading Books... Have a Kindle DX and have read more books in less than a year than I ever did in my entire adult life. Waiting to buy the iPad (and sell the Kindle) until I know for sure that the Kindle app will still be allowed by Apple.

3. Not having to use my (soon to be 4 year old) MacBook, that gives me 3rd degree burns on my legs, in bed.

An extra reason... It's so pretty!

It's unexpressable, but if I have to try:

The iPhone was a very good experience, so I expect a lot of the iPad. I also like multitouch, and this is a giant multitouch screen with a great web browsing internet experience and it has got all the lovely App Store apps and native apps. And it's... well... Apple. I really think the iPod and iPhone were great, and I'm sure the iPad will be too.

My only main question is even though there is no multitasking, how fast will switching between Safari and iWork be? Will iWork automatically start back from the document you were just looking at? How quick is it to change between documents? Of course I won't know till it's out, but I hope it's bearable (~10 seconds) until multitasking arrives in the future.

The touch remembers where you were in each app (most apps), so switching should be very fast.

It's gorgeous, it uses Apple's touch technology, and it runs iWork. It's just so very slick. And 3G to top it off.

That should hopefully do until they have some form of multitasking, which I think everyone would agree is coming sooner than later after the device comes out.

1. Will eventually replace my 3 1/2 year old MBP since I have the 27" iMac i7 and the MBP is mainly relegated to 2 and 3 below.
2. Email
3. Web browsing.
Do I have to limit my reasons to 3:D?

1) E-Books and all types of Print Media on a color screen!

2) Internet Radio anywhere!

3) Much easier lugging around then my laptop and running all my touch apps!

Whoever the advertising genius is who put together the picture of the new iPad and such on Apple's Hot News page is brilliant. Every time I open that page and see the iPad I want to reach my hand out and stroke its surface...... Every blessed time! Yes, I know, if I want to stroke a piece of Apple glass I can simply pick up my iPhone and lovingly run my finger over it, but, no, there's something about that photo of the iPad which just pulls the viewer to it, just tempts the viewer to reach out and touch it.....
