When presented with the 'track this order' page, it gives you a reference number, and shows you that your carrier is TNT. But when you go to the TNT Tracking Website and enter in this reference number (and desperately put in any numbers on the 'track this order page') it says not found, when the order is clearly there. Have I gone mad?

My ups is same. Give it time. Large companies normally have a batch of numbers they can use. Apple prob allocated the number to your package and it will appear on TNT/ups system shortly prob in the business day. :)

There be nothing to worry about. Over weekends it take time for the paper work to hit the tracking all quite normal.

is your iPad being shipped via UPS?

Oh okay... that's interesting. Where to? Mines to London... I think i'd prefer UPS to be honest!

Mines northeast near Sunderland. I'm guessing apple must have some stock already on land and some coming from china. Or it be down to what accessories or something you're getting.

Don't forget the number given on the Apple website is a reference number, not a consignment number. On TNT's website, when you paste in the number, you need to select the 'reference' radio button underneath ('consignment' is selected by default).

This was the mistake I was making anyway :)

Yes i sussed this eventually.. has your tracking begun now?

I get the message that TNT's system is down for maintenance, but to be honest I didn't think that they would update until Monday anyway. I think my confirmation came through fairly late on Saturday and seeing as that most couriers don't treat Sunday as a business day I didn't really expect much to come through.

As soon as it does work and it is at my local depot though, I'll probably just swing by and pick up the package. If it really was shipped on Saturday, my thinking is that it will be held at the depot until Friday's deliveries. Seeing as the device is paid for and I'm the designated recipient I can't see any reason they can deny me collecting it. Plus, the depot is less than five minutes drive from my house :)

I'm near Newcastle with TNT, hope I get it before the 28th!

Yes Same... Normally dispatching products to London takes like 2 days.. not 5 although apple will have their usual policies about not getting the product too early :(

You guys need to be using the international tracker....as the iPad is being shipped from China.

Also there isn't any TNT flights out of HK on Sundays, however there is a flight leaving to Dubai on Monday.

How do we know there not coming from China though?

Some are coming from China, like mine for example.

You can probably tell by the name of the courier on your order. If it is TNT UK or UPS then it is probably coming from the UK. Some may be coming from Europe, I dont know. Mine says TNT Express Worldwide (China) and the tracking works and shows that its been lurking in China since Friday, hoping to see it moving again soon.

Only certain models/order combinations are coming from China, there are plenty of people in the other thread who have got info which suggests theirs are coming from the UK.
