Only certain models/order combinations are coming from China, there are plenty of people in the other thread who have got info which suggests theirs are coming from the UK.

Ahh fair enough, I thought it was just UPS coming from Netherlands, and TNT were all coming from China.
Didn't know any were shipping in the UK.

Actually its probably a bit too early for me to sound so certain that some are coming from UK, maybe its from wider Europe, but I think at least a few people mentioned TNT UK.

If any of the UPS ones are coming from the UK then I am probably only a few miles away from the depot, based on previous stuff Ive got from Apple, which will make me all sad if my iPad from China gets delayed, knowing that other iPads are lurking close by :D

Mines is coming via TNT international, the pick up date is today but it got shipped yesterday.

Anyone shed any light on this?

Maybe the pickup date is in China local time, so it was yesterday our time but today their time. I think Pickup is when the couriers first collect it from the factory, and it will go through quite a lot of steps on the tracking before it even flies out of Hong Kong, such as arriving at the depot in China. Mine got a bit stuck at this stage since Friday due to some holiday & then the weekend.

If your having problems try this:

Login in to your order status via the US store.
If it says TNT International Express, then use the number below 'delivers:' as the Consignment number on this website - http://www.tnt.com/webtracker/tracker.do?navigation=1&respLang=en&respCountry=au

Here is what my order status looks like via the US store:

Mine has just arrived at Hong Kong :D

Ahh I think that means your iPad hasn't been picked up yet.
So it still has the previous delivery associated with it.

Ahh I see ( Or rather... I Hope) It says it's been delivered though, 10.30 April 6 'Katerini'

Is there somewhere we can see TNT flight info?

Yeah - http://www.flightstats.com/go/FlightStatus/flightStatusByAirport.do?airport=%28HKG%29+Hong+Kong+Intl%2C+HK&airportQueryDate=2010-05-24&airportQueryTime=0&airlineToFilter=%283V%29+TNT+Airways&airportQueryType=0&x=33&y=9

There is a flight going to Dubai on Monday.
However there is also a flight going direct to Liege(TNT's Europe hub) on Tuesday.

So it could leave Hong Kong on either Monday or Tuesday:p

I'm a bit of a plane geek(more wannabe pilot), there website is pretty good - http://www.tntairways.com/

Cheers, I found some info on the HK airport website before I saw your post, Im thinking it will be the Tuesday plane to Liege, but of course I could be wrong!

I'm still getting the same message as the original poster when I look at TNT - the rotating orange exclamation mark and "Not Found". Doesn't matter if I use my number (ten digits beginning with 8) as a reference or as a consignment.

Haven't tried to track via the US Apple Store yet as clicking on Order Status has just given me "An Internal Server Error Has Occurred" in Safari for the last four hours.

Edit: US store working, it says TNT UK. Still error messages and/or "Not Found" when I use the US tracking number on the TNT site.

I'm near Newcastle with TNT, hope I get it before the 28th!

Another geordie here with TNT delivery. If the 'Carrier Tracking Number' is the same as 'Our Delivery Reference Number', it isn't a proper tracking number, whether it be TNT or UPS delivery. When the 'Carrier Tracking Number' changes to something different, it'll then be trackable on the TNT or UPS website.

Oh how I have come to loathe that exclamation mark. I swear it is spinning to mock us... -.-

LMAO! Just tried my TNT tracking number and the shipment was delivered to some dude in Greece in March.

Dudes, panic not. They recycle tracking numbers. It just means your shipment has not yet been scanned in.

Oh Okay... But why have some TNT ipads opened for tracking and scanned?

UPDATE: And now... It's saying error despite it belonging in Athens when I checked last night. What? Goddam the orange exlamation mark!

Oh Okay... But why have some TNT ipads opened for tracking and scanned?

Don't know but I can guess at a variety of reasons - iPads seem to be coming from different destinations rather than from just one depot, so there are differences in office opening hours between countries, time of day when updates are scheduled depending on office and country, different practices when it comes to shipping and tracking, etc.

I'm just as frustrated as you, but I think it's important to remember that our iPads are not lost or stuck anywhere. They'll arrive on Friday!

Oh Okay... But why have some TNT ipads opened for tracking and scanned?

Some iPads (mostly wi-fi) have shipped with 'TNT International Express' from China, and these are en-route so have tracking info.

Other orders (mainly 3G?) have shipped with 'TNT UK Ltd' so are probably already in the UK. They have probably been packaged up and labelled by Apple awaiting collection by TNT. Once TNT collect them their tracking will appear. Given TNT have until Friday to sort these UK-UK deliveries, they might not collect for a couple of days...

Hehe I Hope you're right! It could come early I suppose... as said before, usually dispatches from apple take only 2 days after they've informed me of the shipment/ dispatching - not 5 days!

Well, mine used to say it was being shipped by TNT, but now all it says on the Apple Order Page is this:

Shipped on: May 23, 2010 | Print invoice
Estimated Delivery:

Nothing about who's shipping it.
