Price drop I can only post 300 dollar more thats all I need to use the iPad atm

All you can do if your concerned about trade in values is trade it in now or within a week or 2. soon as announcement on a date is out prices can drop. Either wait with no iPad or use the Apples generous return window to your advantage on a 2020 to tied you over

This method would allow you to do what needs to be done without throwing money out the window, just because you want to use an Apple Pencil.

Now that you are starting college, you need to start thinking about learning the value of a dollar, in my opinion.

I believe the Apple Pencil is a no brainier with an existing iPad Pro around. I agree as a starter with no tools at hand pen and paper get you started but here the stuff is already there. Would I trade it around to save extra music on it? Unlikely.

Hello,

I agree with the posters above, the iPad Air 4 would definitely be a downgrade from the 2018 iPad Pro and if you got used to the Promotion display, you could miss it.

Having said that, I understand the storage is not enough for you, for now. If I were in your case, instead of downgrading to an iPad Air 4, here’s what I would do:

- If possible, I would store my music on my phone and listen from it and with this method I would try to “resist” the limitation of storage till the new iPad Pro comes. If on the other hand, you can use the thumb drive option, it could work very nicely too, in the meantime.

- When the new iPad Pro come, I would upgrade it with it. If, it is too expensive or the feature upgrades offered is not something I care, then I would sell my iPad locally and buy a refurbished or used 2018 or 2020 iPad Pro with more storage at a more discounted price.

But since the new iPad Pro will arrive very soon according to the rumours, like in a month or so, I would first wait to see what it offers before attempting to upgrade my iPad Pro, and with your school discount you could get a new, much nicer and more future-proof model.

I hope it helps,
