Ok, so one more reply and then I am outta here until my new IPad Pro arrives in about a month.
We have a guy who posted a question and then gets testy when given some rather personalized but still valid advice. I don’t really follow enthusiast forums for the most part but in the case of Mcnut dude, I keep seeing hard line his way or the Highway replies that just add to the smoldering aspect of the banter.
He does not present is opinions in a manner that it is qualified as such but comes across rather blanket, absolute.
So I weigh in with my 33+ years of professional experience in how I don’t agree with his full and complete disdain for wireless transfer as a tool to use for it’s strengths. Crickets at first…and then more advice from an obvious amateur as to how to run my mid six figure high end commercial advertising and fine art photo business.
It’s just a weird as heck landscape if not diorama of what used to be a hobby of joy and photos from many and now it is gear, “expert” advice and chest beating. This is not the only photo forum this happens, there are lots.
I just find it sad is all, the simplicity of if a photo is good or not utterly polluted with one upsmanship banter based on nothing that really adds to making an emotionally connected photograph.
As a means to give back, I taught three semesters at a good photo school one day a week and a lot of those students are now working in good paying photo jobs with actual benefits. Not all are because not all had the talent to make it happen, nothing new under the sun.
But they think and act differently, you know? Different than on here, different than on other forums and I just have to wonder what is up with the attitude on forums?
I’ll see you all in a month or two when I can report as to the practical use of the iPad Pro in my workflow.
Get out and find joy in your hobby instead of being on here…it’s better that way.
