One of my buddies can't get it to work. He's in Hollywood, CA. I guess not all of So Cal has it working yet.
So for those of you on itunes 9 with iphone 3.0.1 and carrier 5.1, does you MMS work? If so what all did you do ?
i was able to update to the 5.1 carrier file, and i can now see the camera icon in text messages, but when i try to send a picture i get the red exclamation point saying it failed.....
I don't mean to be a pain, but I want to try this and cannot figure it out. I downloaded the file, but when I option+shift click update I can't select the file. What's up?![]()
I'm surprised you're not just waiting until the 25th.

defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE
Close iTunes
Open Terminal
Code:defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE
Close Terminal
Open iTunes
Try it again.
(assuming you use a Mac)
OMG, I had iTunes open when I was issuing that command. As a full time software engineer that is extremely embarrassing...
San Antonio, TX GO
I'm in San Antonio and it doesn't work. Get that ugly red dot with an exclamation mark. Any tips? I am on "Messaging Unlimited for Families". I"m on 3.1 and the carrier file linked to on the first page (5.1?).

Why, that is shocking! Shocking, I say! As a full time IT Director, I would be appalled, if I had not done the exact same thing myself.

So, now your next step is to wait until the 25th, like everyone else with that problem, unfortunately.
Did you go to Settings/General/Network/CellularDataNetwork/ResetSettings
(Click on reset settings that is then click reset when prompted)
Then hit your home button and Power phone completely off and then Power back on? if not try that.
