Err...did you read the last eight pages?

I updated my carrier file and rebooted my iphone and now the option appears to send an mms but it always fails. Anyone else with this problem?

Well, i got everything updated (itunes, iphone os, and carrier file 5.1) and i still get a no go in my area which is about 20 minutes from downtown LA..

I tried resetting my phone and network settings too. Any other ideas?

I got mine to work, but my friend in DC says he can't send them and when he gets them from me, he gets the standard website. I'm not sure if it's the DC market or if it's because he doesn't have a family plan.

Weird. iTunes keeps glitching and saying it couldn't upload the file.

I'm on iTunes 9 with a JB 3GS running 3.0.1 firmware. Do I need to update to 3.1 for this to work?

i just did the carrier 5.1 update ..

i think mms is a GO for me...orange county, huntington beach, CA! i only sent a pic to myself..and i was able to send...and i recieved it.

EDIT: i was able to test it out by sending a pic to my buddy that doesnt have an iphone, he received it!! forgot to mention i have the family unlimited text message plan.

@nelly: are you running a mac?

if so, its under Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app. you can also find it under spotlight.

First time attempting to upload new ipcc file.

3GS Jailbroken, running 3.0 OS, with original 4.0 carrier file.

Downloaded the 5.1 ipcc file mentioned at the beginning of the thread, updated to iTunes 9.0, and used the command prompt callout to trick iTunes to allow me to upload ipcc files.

When attempting to load the 5.1 carrier file, I'm getting the following error:

"The iPhone "XXX" could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (0xE800003D)."

Anyone seen this? Any ideas besides restoring?

JB 3.0.1/5.1 Carrier file - didn't work all yesterday (Wednesday) worked for the first time morning! I'm in the Cleveland area.

I know I'm probably late on this but how do I change this carrier file or whatever it is you are all doing to get mms to work. I just downloaded the 3.1 software just so you know too.

Read the 1st page and the 7th page.

Just mms'ed this morning and was able to send a video clip to a tmo phone so I have everything working still. :)

Yes, I followed those steps, but it still doesn't work. I'll just have to wait. I've just been wanting to finally send a message to my sister...who has a Pre and rubs it in regularly that I can't send MMS. LOL

Hey, I tried it again this morning and it works!! I'm in San Antonio.

It did not work immediately for me. I had turned it off for 10 minutes last night and waited about 45 minutes after making the updates, but it still didn't work then. So, for some it might take some time to start working after you make the changes.

I'm on 3.1 and used the carrier file listed on the first page of this thread. Thanks to all of those who posted tips!

Glad to hear that it's finally working.;)
